Rutgers I've had enough.

It's time for a change.

I've defended him for the last three years...waiting for him to explode onto the scene and have at least a halfway monster year.

But now his offense has put up 19 total points in two games...8 quarters...120 minutes. At this point last year (and granted Ray Rice was still there), they had put up upwards of 70 points.

He has one clean-up touchdown pass to five interceptions.

This issue won't resolve itself.

Mike Teel needs to go.

I feel for you. They looked absolutely awful tonight against UNC. In fact UNC looked like a juggernaut compared to them. And that says an awful lot about how bad Rutgers looked.

Let's face it, Ray Rice was Rutgers. Now that he's gone Rutgers isn't much. The same will happen to USF when Grothe is gone.

I don't know that you can say that Rutgers isn't much w/o Rice. He was certainly the engine that powered that train. What you have to realize......and this will be hard for BEast fans to swallow, is that Rutgers for three years has been playing Big 10 style football.

I've made the comment before that Teel reminds me of a Wisconsin QB. He's steady and won't get you beat, but a lot of that hinges on a good run game. In games where Wisconsin has had their run game stymied or where they were down early and had to abandon the run game, they struggled. Rutgers has got to reload that RB spot first and commit to it early and often. Teel only averaged 26 attempts a game last year and last night had 40. That's too much to put on his shoulders no matter who his WRs are. I don't think that Rutgers goes back to the cellar just because they lost Rice. I just don't think you scrap your most experienced QB because he can't handle an increased load when the run game needs to take the pressure off him first.

Ray Rice had 380 carries last year...380! He was that team. He was their offense and because they chewed up so much clock he made the defense better too.

I said he was the engine that powered that train. Those 380 carries work out to about 29 a game. They need to find a RB who is able to shoulder that kind of load or at least two guys and keep pounding the ball. They have talent at RB, but they have to pick a guy.

Schiano said in a post-game interview that Teel was still the starter.

There's no denying that in 2006, the team was for real. Even in 2007 the club was strong, but certainly not better (I attribute that to the loss of Leonard to the NFL). But Teel is shouldering too much of the burden. Are his receivers dropping passes? Yes, to an extent. But the decisions Teel has made have left everyone scratching their heads. For the first time in my life, I saw him throw a pass that I was POSITIVE was coming back the other way. Schiano's play calling isn't blowing me away either.

If we fall to Morgan State, so help me God...

The third QB behind Lovelace has a great arm according to what I hear and a lot of the players believe he should be starting. The team not supporting Teel is a really bad thing although I'd have to agree with them right now.

Robinson is a very speedy runner but there's another RB whose name slips my mind that really showed me some power last night. I think they'll make a great 1-2 punch to compensate for losing Rice if they're used properly

Has he always called the plays or did he take over the duties?
