OSU is paying UC one million dollars to move the game from Paul Brown Stadium, as originally planned, to Ohio Stadium. I want to know why OSU officials didn't want the Buckeyes to play UC here in Cincy? What are they afraid of? I love this quote from Brian Kelly: Quote:

Common practice when playing smaller universities. OSU makes a boatload off of games that are here in Columbus, not so much on the road.

Tickets average about $45, 100,000 seats roughly...that's about $4.5 million right there, not to mention concessions, parking (Traffic and Parking here makes a good bit just on that, and considering they've run up a couple million in debt over the last couple decades...)...
Not to mention even the impact on local businesses. It's incredibly hard to get food around here on gamedays because everybody's packed. -RD

That's a nice chunk of change. I'm not complaining about the move, it would have been nice to play them here in Cincinnati again. At the same time, UC is making out pretty good financially in the deal and the money is going towards the football program.
Besides, beating the Buckeyes in their own house will make the win even sweeter. ![]() |

I'm going to laugh incredibly hard if it comes true. Stoneburner won't be around five years, and Payne may look elsewhere if Pryor commits tomorrow.
