Stewart reportedly new WVU coach

Apparently, last night's blowout meant something...rather than hire from the outside, College Football Talk is reporting that outlets in West Virginia are reporting (phew, that took a second) that Bill Stewart will lose the interim tag and become WVU's new head coach permanently.

It's worth noting Stewart was the only interim coach whose team actually won their bowl game.

It was pretty impessive. I don't think too many people gave WVU a chance against Oklahoma.

I think its great that he is getting a chance after you've been a Coordinator or a small time coach for 30 years I think he deserves a chance

The players supposedly love him...and he did a tremendous job of getting his guys firing in the Fiesta Bowl...I know I didn't give them a chance. This is a good move by WVU...now they don't have to go spend $2-3 million a year on someone like Nick Saban...they've locked up a West Virginia guy for a reasonable price.

And the booster oughta shut his mouth...let's see how the team fares before we lash out.

Agreed.

The guy has been a head coach there all of one game, and he dominated OU in the Fiesta Bowl. At least give him a chance before you write him off. And who the hell is some booster to say that it was a mistake? Did he make any interviews in the process?

He wanted a big name. He's just some deep pocket jerk that thinks he knows what he is talking about.

There was a local newspaper writer on ESPN first take this morning and said even if they hired Bill Belichick this guy wouldn't be happy. So.. Obviously something is wrong with him
