Kelly could be moving to greener pastures. He's done a great job at Cincy.

Robinson has not been fired from Syracuse but should be...soon!

Kragthorpe...not sure about him but it doesn't look good.

Wannstedt should be gone...really, stop the madness. How many programs/franchises does he need to ruin?

Edsall may get a call to a bigger program as well. No one talks about Connecticut but I think they were Div I-AA just 5 years ago or so.

Could be lots of turnover in this conference.

Robinson seriously needs to get out of Syracuse...if he's not chased out by an angry mob.

It's a true story that Ray Rice and Eric Foster, current members of the Rutgers team, were all set to go to Syracuse and play under Paul Pasqualoni. When he was fired in favor of Robinson, Rice and Foster (because of that change, mind you) changed minds and came to Rutgers. He's simply not a player's coach, clearly cannot recruit, and is a flat-out failure (7-26 record, comparable to going 3-13 one year in the NFL).

Pittsburgh's AD should seriously consider getting rid of Wanny. How long are they going to let him wreck that team?

Kragthorpe deserves at least one more year, undoubtedly. The offense is fine (and should still be after Brohm leaves), it's the defense that needs a total overhaul.

Leavitt has turned down chances to interview at Alabama, so I'm guessing he has the USF job for life.

Kragthorpe has to get one more year to see if he can find a defense, but he's on thin ice.

Rumor swirling is that Nebraska has contacted Cincinnati and received permission to speak with Brian Kelly....

Actually all the rumors I've heard about Krags is actually with him leaving. Going back to a lower school. Not Louisville firing him

About two more years..

Report: Pitt will extend Wannstedt

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh football coach Dave Wannstedt will receive a contract extension, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The University is reportedly expected to announce the extension, which would extend Wannstedt's current deal at least through the 2010 season, Saturday.

The Panthers are just 4-7 this season and heavy underdogs in this weekend's annual "Backyard Brawl" game against West Virginia.

Despite compiling a 15-19 record in his tenure at his alma mater, Wannstedt has the support of newly hired athletic director Steve Pederson.

Big East Schiano & Michigan in talks

Quote:
Michigan AD talks to Rutgers' Schiano

Rutgers coach Greg Schiano met with Michigan athletic director Bill Martin earlier this week to talk about the Wolverines' coaching vacancy, according to newspaper reports Thursday night.

Rutgers athletic director Robert Mulcahy told The Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., for a story posted on its Web site late Thursday night, that Schiano's agent, Bryan Harlin, "asked for permission to meet" with Michigan.

"I have not heard anything formally from Michigan — yet," Mulcahy told the paper.

Mulcahy told The Home News Tribune of East Brunswick, N.J., he was aware of a meeting between Schiano and Martin.

Both papers cited unidentified sources saying the meeting took place Tuesday night in New York during the College Football Hall of Fame banquet at a midtown Manhattan hotel. Though Michigan has made no official offer to Schiano, both papers reported one could be coming soon.

I'm interested to hear from you RU. Do you think Michigan is a possibility for him? Everyone and their mom seemed to think he is sticking around to ultimately get the Penn State job.
