Questions about Louisville...

As WVU's next opponent, I only know what the news articles and few highlight reels have shown me...

Could someone, who has seen a few games, give me some insight? Things on paper can be different than what is played out on the field sometimes.

From the few games I've seen Louisville play...their offense is as good as their defense is bad. Catch Brian Brohm on a mediocre day and he'll gash the defense for 300+ yards and 2 TD's. WVU also has to contain Anthony Allen real closely...or else their offense becomes 2-dimensional...and that's gonna keep White and Slaton on the bench.

Defensively, however...Louisville can't stop anyone. If White's having a sharp day passing he could very well approach Brohm-like numbers. Slaton should have no problem rushing either.

From what I gathered from the Rutgers/WVU game...the Mountie defense got a lot of lucky breaks because Rutgers' wideouts couldn't get a grip on the ball. That 38-3 game should have been much MUCH closer than the score indicates. Hang with Harry Douglas and Gary Barnidge all game and West Virginia should win handily. Let your guard down and this game could be more explosive and a lot closer than WVU fans would like.

Thanks! I do agree very much about that Rutgers game. There were some questionable calls too, and those receivers couldn't hold on to anything.
