It's a rumor, but it's a strong rumor. This site has never been wrong for me, but take it for what it's worth: Keep those #52 jerseys for 5 more years… | Drew Forrester’s Blog, sponsored by Koons Ford Security Blvd | WNST
If this is true, this is a great move by Lewis. He could have asked for more money, but this keeps the Ravens best leader around AND frees up cap space to resign guys like Terrell Suggs and Jason Brown. I hope it's true...

Ray can see the future. Super Bowl. The only way that's going to happen is if we keep the good guys we have now. Ray taking a pay cut allows us to resign guys like Suggs, Brown, and Scott.
The offense is getting better and in a few years should be constantly in the top 10. Throw that in with a great defense, and you have a playoff team that could go deep.

Well to me it truly shows Ray's commitment to winning by taking the pay cut and signing back with this team.
I've always been a big Ray fan, but I actually wanted to see him go somewhere else where he could be that missing piece to making a good defense a great one. A team that will actually give him an offense that he can depend on. It's been a crying shame the way the Ravens have made that D carry this team for years and not improved it. Most of that blame goes to Billick, but still. I don't know if Ray will have enough more dominant years before that offense ever gets turned around into at least a respectable one. I'd like to see Ray win another SB, but it looks like it might take a while before the Ravens are ready to make another serious run.

Wow, that is the example that NEEDS to be set by NFL players. I wish more people like that were publicized, not clowns like the reciever formerly known as T.O.

Hopefully it's true. I'd hate to see my boy Ray leave Baltimore.
