Anderson/Ravens agree to terms

Quote:
The Baltimore Ravens agreed to terms with former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Willie Anderson on a three-year, $11 million contract.
Terry Bolar, Anderson's agent, confirmed Thursday's agreement.

If only Ogden didn't retire, the Ravens would have one of the better O-lines in the NFL.

The second biggest mistake in regards to the offensive line the Bengals have made in the last two seasons. The first was letting Steinbach walk so they could franchise a player who gave them a whopping two sacks last season. The Bengals will miss Willie bad, he was the only true leader on the team but Willie deserves a lot better than the Bengals. I hope he does very well with the Ravens so the Bengals can see how bad they screwed up....again.

I'm still not 100% on this. It's up in the as to how much Willie has left in him. I think Willie thinks more of himself as a player at this point than anyone else.

However, I 100% agree with you on Willie being the only leader.

The Ravens thought he had enough left to sign him to a three year, $11 million deal. That's good enough for me. I'd trust Ozzie Newsome and John Harbaugh when it comes to evaluating a player more than I would Marvin Lewis and Mike Brown. Willie is also healthy this season, he wasn't last year.

The Ravens aren't contenders? Last time I checked they have not been eliminated from the playoffs. (And the last time I checked the Ravens had more wins )

Hey ravenatic, hope things are well for you, and you had a good summer.

Anyway, I caught most of the game Sunday, and had a question for you. What was with Adam Terry as a rotating tackle? Interesting concept, to say the least......let me know how they are working that.

What's up TT?

Terry started and as far as I know he played every offensive snap. Anderson did not play (but he will play in the next game).

Terry was rotated to the left side of the line. Basically we had two tackles on one side. The guards and center were in their normal places, but we overloaded to the left. A TE filled in at RT for these plays. The Ravens ran to the left on these plays but I think it only happened twice. It was successful though, gaining about 4 yards per play.

Here's a little article on it: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/News/...ing_It_Up.aspx
