News Ravens move DL Edwards to IR

Edwards has been hampered by a back injury and sat out in the Ravens’ 24-10 loss to the St. Louis Rams over the weekend. The former Oregon State standout started a career-high 13 games last season and recorded 58 tackles in place of injured starter Trevor Pryce.

Dan Cody, the often-injured outside linebacker-defensive end, is likely to replace Edwards.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Bucs have traded DL Marques Douglas to the Ravens.
The Bucs will receive a 2009 late-round draft pick plus a conditional 2010 draft pick, which is contingent upon Douglas passing his physical Wednesday. Douglas likely takes the place of former second-rounder Dwan Edwards, who had earned a significant role before being placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
