McGahee out 2-4 weeks with knee surgery

Willis McGahee is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee as soon as Monday.
Recovery generally takes 2-4 weeks, which would put Week 1 of the regular season in doubt. Ray Rice was already a must handcuff for McGahee owners, and this news makes it even more imperative. Given McGahee's history, this "clean-up" procedure is enough to knock him down a few pegs on the draft board. Baltimore's extremely shaky offensive line is another reason to downgrade him.

Does anyone know if this is the knee he blew out while at Miami? If so, definite cause to worry to the extreme, although I'm sure Ray Rice will do a fine job. RB isn't the issue for the Ravens- it's their offensive line, and who is going to be passing the ball.

I'd love to see Rice steal his job. I realy tought he was the 2nd best RB prospect in the draft. Maybe I'm just a homer on this one but I realy liked the guy.

I dont understand why it being that particular knee would be reason to worry to the extreme. A clean up job is a clean up job. And hes been fully recovered from that injury for what, 4 years, 3 years?

Either way, that knees been throughly enough tested to know its fully recovered.
