wouldn't the fact that it means something be in support of taking a knee?

I don't want ANYBODY to get injured in a meaningless game.

Actually, the fact that the game means nothing, made it alright to take a knee. Mainly, for the reason that you mentioned. (IMO)

I see the point madams is making though. The purpose of the game is to see what your guys down on the depth chart can do, how does taking a knee accomplish that?

By playing the 3 other pre-season games? I'd rather just take knees and wait for the next game, instead of further risking a pointless injury in a pointless game.

There is plenty of training camp and plenty of pre-season left to evaluate players. In a normal game, we would have taken a knee anyways. No need to risk injury.

In hindsight, there was nothing left to accomplish. It's clear that we can't lose Brady....why get other players hurt.
