More Than 80 Players brawling in Big Fight at RAVENS camp.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (May 10) - The Baltimore Ravens are doing more than merely fighting for jobs at their first mandatory minicamp under new coach John Harbaugh. They're fighting each other, too.


Nearly all 85 players in camp were involved in a squabble Saturday that began when offensive tackle Oniel Cousins and defensive tackle Amon Gordon threw punches after running back Allen Patrick was taken down hard on a burst up the middle. All the players surged toward the middle of the field, and it was nearly two minutes before peace was restored.

"Guys are competing, so tempers flare a little bit," Harbaugh said.

Later during practice, which was held indoors because of rain, defensive backs Corey Ivy and Frank Walker came to blows during a blocking drill.

"Don't grab me, man!" Ivy yelled.

After the players were separated, veteran cornerbacks Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle spoke with Walker

but i wonder what could have gotten so heated with no pads. they ae barley tickling each other out there.

and the heat cant be an excuse either.

Well for the record they were indoors, and most of the fight was with 4 particular players, not the whole team so much.

it musta looked like a braveheart scene out there.

Harbaugh has inherited Billick's mess, that is for sure. No reason for this two years in a row.

Well, stuff like this has happened seemingly every year for the last few years. I agree with Thomas, Billick seemed to run an uncontrolled team, and they still have to work through that.

Troy Smith on the brawl: "I don't know how everyone came up with that number, there wasn't even that many people here, there isn't even that much locker room space for that many people"

Again, only a handful were involved.

ok, i doubt it was just a handful.


maybe not 80....but a handful is like 5....it was obviously was more than that
