ATL I may have been wrong

About Matt Ryan. Kid is playing much better than I thought he would. He's helped a lot by the running game but he's making the right reads.

Oh and Mike Smith is coach of the year right now.

besides, lets go back in time to before the Vick and the Bobby Petrino fiasco, as I recall the Falcons we're in the fight for the division..
Their QB and heart and soul get arrested and sent to prison, to which the team was divided, then the head coach turns out to be a non-communicating jerk who quit on his team..no team could function to potential under those circumstances..So now Vick is gone, and they have rallied around Ryan, and Petrino is gone, and they are rallying around Mike Smith..so it stands to reason, they would begin to get back to where they were before the controversies began..so this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

They also got rid of dead weight in DeAngelo Hall. I don't care what anybody says that kid is overrated and he got burned repeatedly yesterday, again, at Buffalo.

The kid is a rookie, so his performances will be all over the place.

Last week he looked dreadful coming off of a good first week.

This week he played really well. He is a rookie, so he will be inconsistent for sure.

Carolina is a good team. They can certainly make some noise in the division and have a good blend of youth and experience. It's all going to depend on Delhomme staying healthy and that he gets protection.

Now, onto Ryan. He's had two good games and one bad one. In Week 2, Michael Turner struggled, so one could even make the argument that the entire team, not just Ryan, was overwhelmed. No doubt he's got a future ahead of him, and so far, Ryan has definitely been impressive and Mike Smith has this unit playing as a team.
