Matt Barkley will return for his senior season.
I, for one, am thrilled.

Take that Mel Kieper Jr. and shove it up your draft!

This is great news. Too many Viking fans are already looking to jettison Ponder. This makes the odds of the Vikings selecting a first round QB at #2 or #3 virtually zero. Huzzah!
Also, with the Colts winning again... is suck for luck back in play? Lulz.

From a Browns fan's perspective, this is disappointing just because it makes it possible for them to leave this draft without a franchise quarterback.
For Barkley, do what you want to do, but that USC team is already being vastly overrated if you ask me. Losing Matt Kalil, Nick Perry, DaJohn Harris, Chris Galippo, and maybe T.J. McDonald is going to hurt.

I'm actually very okay with that Peter. I want to make sure we get the other things we need in place first before we rush another rookie quarterback into the lineup.

And Stoops with the 'gut feeling' that Jones will be coming back to OU for this senior season (if there does end up being truth to that) then what seemed to be a deep draft for QB has definitely lessened quite a bit. RGIII will see his stock go up and might be drafted higher than he would have.

I have a plan for that.

I think Griffin surpassed Barkley, which is part of why Barkley went back. I don't see Griffin going any later than 4th pick and if the Browns end up with 3rd pick courtesy of the Vikings, Luck, Kalil, and Griffin seem like a slam dunk with the first 3 picks.

Khalil is a loss, and TJ already announced he was coming back before Barkley did. The other guys, are you serious?? Galippo?? He was a backup, and only played because he was a 6th year senior. When Lamar Dawson, who was like their most hyped freshman defensive player, was finally ready, they benched Galippo and promptly played like gangbusters at the end to push that winning streak. Galippo's struggles were WELL documented, he was the weakest link of that defense by far. Mentioning him is beyond silly
Besides receiver, SC is most deep at DE, so Perry won't be a huge loss. Most here agree that he was overrated. Harris is a moderate loss.
Put it all together, they finished top 5, and return 10 starters on offense, and 9 starters on defense. Of those guys, almost half were freshman this past year. They hype is warranted
