LSU is now #1 in the AP poll.

As I've said in a few other post this is the only thing that makes sense. I am a huge OU fan but LSU has proven more. If you give me a team with an oustanding D and an above avg Offense I will take that team over the Oustanding Offense and the above avg D everyday.

Bama may also be better than OU.

Bama's getting better. LSU is clearly the best team in the country right now, they are dominant.

I think the top 3 should be LSU, SoCar and Clemson. They have played and beaten a better schedule than anyone so far.

I think you're nuts on South Carolina. They're winning in spite of themselves, and their quarterback play has been awful.

Sure, based on early results, LSU has been the best, but I still like the horses I came here with, mainly Stanford and Boise St.

Florida runs the gauntlet next two weeks, Bama and LSU.

Winning in spite of yourself over good competition beats playing efficiently against nobodies. Good defense and good run game. Sounds like Tressel ball.

FSU may not be as good as thier #5 ranking but they aren't nobody. Missouri isn't bad. SC has a good team but I think at some point Garcia looses a game or two.

I haven't been impressed with Stanford at all and Bosie st. Is good but it's just hard when we won't get to see them against anyone really good in stride.

When I made the nobody comment, I was thinking more of schedules like Wisconsin and Stanford so far. Clemson and Oklahoma both beat FSU, but I was more impressed with Clemson beating Auburn than Oklahoma beating Mizzou. We didn't know what we would see from Clemson this year and they played a good game vs Auburn. Oklahoma is usually expected to beat Mizzou. Last year was impressive and all, but Mizzou loses most of their games against Oklahoma. Not to mention that Mizzou looked befuddled against ASU this year.

That's the general formula, look where it got us, and look where South Carolina is now. They should have won that game against Auburn today, didn't happen because their quarterback couldn't get the ball to his playmakers accurately when it mattered.

You mean a 94-22 record, six Big 10 titles, eight BCS games with four wins, and a national title? Lots of schools would kill for a fraction of that success.

I'll take that, but I would think we'd have at least one more national title if Jim Tressel had coached in 2006-07 like he did in the 2011 Sugar Bowl.
