Everyone and their mother has been proclaiming the Bears overachievers, not as good as their record, waiting for the bottom to fall out, etc.
Here they sit at 8-3, NFC North leaders, with wins on their resume including the Packers, a blanking of the Dolphins in Miami, and a victory over the red hot Eagles.
Anyone want to call them not so good anymore?
I hope people are gonna take us seriously now. I think now they have to be talked about as a top team in the NFC now.

Until next week, when they lose, yes.
It seems every week, the new top dawg in the NFC gets knocked off by someone. For now, they're the ones with the figurative target on their back.

They looked good to me, watching a late NFC game, which I rarely do. Beating Philly WAS a nice win.

Well Cutler finally showed up this week. Not sure how much was Asante not playing thou. If he can play that good every week they are a real threat.
The real question is what will the Bears have to do for people to take them seriously? lol

Asante not being in the game was a serious advantage for the Bears. The Eagles are incredibly thin at corner this year and it showed in this game. With that said credit goes to the Bears for taking advantage of that weakness. They certainly deserve some credit for being better than many expected them to be this season, especially defensively where they've done a great job combating age and infusing talent.

Have that Cutler fella go back to back weeks without throwing a pick.
It hasn't happened yet this year.

I have to agree with the Cutler stuff.
The Bears are a hot team right now for sure, and they are obviously good. They play good defense, and run the ball well, and have a QB who can make all the throws in the NFL. Including some of the most 'what the hell?' boneheaded throws that Ive ever seen a QB as jazzed up as he is ever make.
I really do think that is why nobody can take the Bears seriously this year. Yes Cutler threw 4 TDs today, but what does he do in his next game? I hope for the Bears sake that he continues to play well. He actually has been playing better overall for the past month and getting sacked less than when the season started. But thats another one of the things people think of when thinking of the Bears right now. Early on they were giving up a TON of sacks.

I haven't gotten to watch them play the last couple of weeks, but all my concerns come back to the offensive line. Its hard for me to believe they could get a functioning unit out of those players, but it seems like they have. Its amazing how many problems that fixes.
Also, I wonder how many QBs have gone two weeks in a row without a turnover.

I'm glad you asked that question.
Colt McCoy, rookie that he is, had a three game no turnover streak this season.
Tom Brady is currently riding a six game no turnover streak.
Peyton Manning had a three game no turnover streak to start the year.
Drew Brees had back to back games with no turnovers at one point this season.
On second thought, not that glad you asked the question. I withdraw my previous statement, and substitute "just don't screw your team consistently."

Yeah, too much work to answer that question definitively. I look forward to never having to read "Jay Cutler has never had a winning season" again sometime soon.

Damn Right their for real! Who's going to stop them if the Philadelphia Vick's can't even do it?
Also, Josh Freeman has had a three game and a two game no turnover streak this season.
