He is completing 50.8% of his passes for 417 yards, 4 TD's and 2 INT's in his first 2 games. He has led 2 comebacks for the Bucs against the Packers and the Dolphins winning 1 of the 2. What are your first impressions of the way that he is playing?

He was almost 2-0 as Bucs starter...He looked very good Sunday. He just seemed to have better control of the team than anyone else who has been the Bucs QB this year, and maybe even Jeff Garcia last year. During the Draft all I heard was he put too much power on the ball and it would take him a while to get NFL ready, but watching him it seems like they were wrong. His passing seems fine, its mostly how long he holds onto the ball and most of that is because he has no one to throw the ball too but Sammie Stroughter and Kellen Winslow Jr. and Stroughter is barely on the field and Winslow can't get open all the time.

I was right. The Bucs were smart to let him sit and learn the game before throwing him in. Freeman is already one of the hardest workers during the week and his film watching sessions are already very in-depth. I give kudos to Morris for not starting Freeman until he felt the kid was ready, in spite of the record, and I give Freeman credit for having a level of maturity that seems well beyond that of most rookies. The future looks very bright for him.

^^^truth. if a qb ever needed time to sit, learn the game, and mature a bit it was freeman.

I think that he's looked good - I think that what a lot of people were saying about him pre draft may have been right. He may have been the roughest QB to be picked in the first round, but may actually have the highest ceiling of them. That will remain to be seen, but I remember watching the guy at K-State, and don't think anybody could deny that he has talent, and at least at a college level he was able to learn to make decent reads - seeing how well that translates to an NFL level is a whole different game though, and the only thing we can do is wait a few years and see. 4TDs amd 2 INTS in 2 games isnt shabby at all. I have a feeling people may try to knock him because im sure he'll throw more picks, but thats just the way it goes.
