Alright, since the ugliest throwback is getting some looks, what about the ones that have actually looked pretty good?

I never did like their helmets, but the rest of the get-up isn't bad

Kansas City's Texasn uni's are pretty nice.

Back when the Silver and Black still meant something.

I liked their later helmet logo a bit better, but nice overall scheme for the Titans (Oilers).

Any others you liked?

I wanted more nominations before posting a poll.

I suppose baby blues is one. Any others?

Have you seen the Cleveland throwbacks?

Come to think of it, they look remarkably like the current ones...nevermind. Like San Diego's powder blues, love the Raiders look, wish they'd switch to that permanently.

Agree on the Raiders. Back in the old days, they were made to change because people couldn't make out the light colored numbers on a light colored jersey. In today's age of HD, that's no longer a problem.

Eh the chargers one is alright but I like New England's a lot and of course the raiders. I'm not a fan of most of them (IE NYJ, denver etc.,).

This may exclude my opinion from the rest of the discussion but I actually like Tampa's

I like the Chargers ones best, but I actually really like the Chargers white throwbacks. With the white pants and white helmet, I love the combination. The Raiders ones are cool too.

My problem with the Chargers isn't their look. My problem is after the recent re-design of the everyday jersey, the throwbacks don't seem real throwback-ish.

Cowboys throwbacks are really sharp.

White Helmet and Blue Star really set it off...the Blue Jersey with white shoulders and white pants just looke really good to me.

Of course, it's odd seeing them not wearing white Jersey's as they normally do, lol.

Cowboys are the best in my opinion.

The Powder blues in this thread are the real throwbacks.

The other Powder blues that are of their new design are just their alternatives, not their new throwbacks or anything. Years from now we'll be seeing their old Navy jeresies as their throwbacks haha

Really? I really do not like the Cowboys throwback, at all.

I know, but they've worn the light blue so much in the last 5 years or so, that the novelty of the throwbacks has worn off, imo.

It's still a throwback, including their away ones

I don't hate the Cowboys one, but its far from the best and the normal white ones are much better.

Well I think the Classic White Jersey Cowboy Uniforms are among the best in the NFL, current or throw back...but I think their Throwbacks are really sharp too.

I prefer the every day ones they were though, that's for sure.

I've got three, but one is a homer pick. I like Minnesota's, St. Louis's, and Tampa Bay's.

ruuuuudiii is right about the novelty wearing off. San Diego's alternates are so similar and are worn so often that them wearing the true throwbacks isn't really that big of a deal anymore.

I agree. But they barely wear the white throwbacks, which I like more than the Powder Blue ones anyways.

Nobody is disputing whether or not it's a throwback, they're telling you they don't care when the Chargers wear the throwbacks because they were a very similar jersey every year.

dont care, its still a throwback and shouldve been included

Do the Colts ever wear throwbacks? The ony differences I ever see going back are helmet minutia and sneaker color. Of course if they were to ever wear something that hearkened back to when they played in that other city I'm sure a massive hissy fit would be thrown, so maybe its best if they just keep ignoring the throwback craze.

They were their throwbacks when they played against Detriot on thanksgiving a few years ago, only difference I noticed was an extra stripe

OF course it's an opinion. And yes, it is a throwback. In fact, the Chargers jerseys are, and have been , among the best in the league, and I don't think anyone is saying they don't look good, just that it hardly seems like a novelty anymore. Plus, the AFL throwback is so damn similar to the actual product these days it's eery. Kudos to San Diego, and Oakland for that matter, for establishing a look that lasts the test of time.

The throw back craze has gotten way out of hand in the league. I hate it now and some of these teams look like freaking clowns on game day with the uniforms that they wear that don't even resemble their current team anymore. If it was a uni from their team when they were in a different city or where the colors were completely different not resembling the current team at all, then it just looks stupid. It's almost like you're watching an entirely different team. And wearing those old uni's that were so long ago to when the NFL teams could barely even design the jerseys and they practically look like something a flag football team would wear, well that looks really stupid to.

Once or twice a year for the throw backs should be about it.

Those are easily one of the worst. They look like a wannabee low budget version of the Steelers.

it's still a throwbackYeah no duh its our opinion. The entire topic of the thread is based on opinion, and the fact that we feel the novelty has worn off was the reason they were left out and not mentioned.

Again, for the most part, it's only this year, with the AFL celebration. Frankly, I think it's great that the NFL chose to honor the AFL in this fashion, and while I agree that some of the throwbacks are, uhm, less than pleasant to look at, they are what they should be, the original styles. Next year, all those Broncos, Jets, Oilers, and other gear will be gone again, maybe to come out once a year or so.

Some of the others are one time deals, or once a year deals. The Bucs are going once a year for the next five. The Lions bring theirs out every Thanksgiving. I haven't seen the Eagles wear the ghastly jerseys but the one time. I'm sure the Pats will start using the old school once a year, and same may hold true for the Raiders, Chargers and Bills. I don't think Kansas Cithy or Houston will wear theirs much at all because they now play in cities different from what it says on the throwbacks. Denver's are just hideous, if they go the throwback route beyond this year, it better be to the Orange Crush days, not the yellow and brown days of black and white TV's.
