I thought that this would happen today. He's got some ability and I think someone will give him a shot. I hope he can stay healthy. Last time he got waived from Cincinnati, he ended up with a Super Bowl ring. Good luck to him..

How did guys think Benson played the other day?I think Benson looked ok. He ran hard, but in the grand scheme of things it was still a loss. It looks like the Bengals are trying to commit to the run more, but their play calling is still just so boring and predictable.
And Cincy...it's Bernard Scott out of texas abilene.

Same view here...except I'm not on the Offensive Coordinator is at Fault bandwagon.
There is no 'new playbook' at the NFL level. At the end of the day, you either block and tackle well, catch and run with the ball well, or you don't. The Bengals offensive line is mediocre, we all knew that was the case coming into this season. The hope is the O line 'grows' as the season progresses, but lets be honest. If you come into the season with that 'hope' your already behind the upper half of NFL teams at the start.
Everybody knows the Bengals with Palmer at the helm will try to go with the deep ball 6 - 10 times per game. The Bronco's, and everybody else since 2005 know this, and defend against that type of play first. When you have a lame running game, and we do, thats what happens. Palmer looked 'deep' numerous times last Sunday, but the Bronco's were unusally playing a three deep zone, or doubling Henry and Ocho to prevent the deep routes. Combine that with the curious case of Lavernious Coles inability to catch a cold, let alone a thrown pass...and you end up where the Bengals were with a little over six minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Its my view the Bengals will now be at best 1 - 3 after the first four games. And that, as they say, is the ball game. The moment Stokely crossed the goal line last Sunday this franchise began playing for 'next year'.
Hope I'm absolutely dead wrong about this. Hope the few that care about the Bengals performance on this site get the chance to throw this back in my face.
but I've been saying THAT in this forum for the past three or four years....
