Ok, kids.....you should really be watching this game. Toledo is putting on a clinic in how to run the spread offense (passing version). Now I don't like this whole division of labor (passing game coordinator and run game coordinator) style, but it's working for the Rockets. I was intrigued to watch Toledo after what they did to Purdue last week. If you're CMU and WMU, you have to be thinking....."Oh ****, that is coming our way." Sure CMU returns three starters in the secondary, but they were 118th in pass defense last year.....and it's not because they were overly fabulous in run support. WMU was 102nd in pass defense last year and lost Londen Fryar and E.J. Biggars to graduation.
Toledo looks like they might be a legitimate MAC title contender.

I was going to bring this up, for another reason.
Boy does Colorado suck or what? First getting beat by CSU and now getting throttled by Toledo. At least show up?
Toledo does look good though.

Now that I talked about Toledo, it's time to discuss Colorado. They are horrible. This has to be Dan Hawkins' last year. His devotion to his son is sad. Cody has an arm like a scatter gun. The Buffs were getting embarrassed by the Rams last week, but they made a few adjustments at the half and made it look close. If they go 0-2 to start the season, it just gets worse. They have a road trip to WVU before Big 12 play starts. Nine days later, they travel to Texas. With Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and a road trip to Okie St on the sked, they could very well go 5-7. ISU has a scary offense now too, so they might not make it out of Ames with a win. Keep in mind that Texas A&M won't go quietly either. Could they go 3-9?
Who does Colorado turn to, if they fire Hawkins?

CSU isn't a terrible team though, they just needed a good QB. Colorado has the skill position players, but they need to give up on Hawkins at QB.

That, and figure out what to do at RB.
I bet Scott is wishing he signed with Texas now, instead of backing out at the last second, LMFAO!

Well, he does have 85 yards on 12 carries, so he's doing better. I don't think he should have started last year because he wasn't ready.

37-10......Toledo is pretty much scoring at will.

Don't look now, Colorado just scored to make it 37-17 and recovered a fumble inside the Toledo 5.

I think we can beat them. I mean, we beat them last year and compare one game from this year to the first game last year and we are so so much better. Heck, compare our first game this year to any game last year and we look much better. Wasn't Colorado claiming they'd go 10-2 this year? Probably didn't think they'd start 0-2.

Yeah, they're in serious trouble. Hawkins played some very determined football and didn't give up. I have new respect for that kid after the game. I still think winning three games would be optimistic at this point.
As far as Toledo, they need to learn how to put teams away.

I can't imagine being a CU fan right now. They went from being told they are going to only lose two games to losing the first two games to teams they should have beaten up. Huge let down and by the looks of it, things are gonna get worse.
