Cadillac Williams is your starting running back for the first week of the 2009 season. How 'bout that?

Welcome back Caddy! Great to see him back, now the question is how long is he going to be able to be on the field.

I hated him at Auburn but I like him as a Buc

The reason I drafted him. If healthy, he'll have a better year than Ward, who was taken about 3-4 rounds earlier.

Why will he have such a better year??? The only thing this guy has proven is that he's as injury prone as anyone I've ever seen. He hasn't been a good back either since his rookie season. When he played in his 2nd year before getting hurt, he wasn't effective at all. How this guy all of a sudden became the lead back on this team that has guys like Graham who has proven himself the last two seasons and Ward who has performed well in pre season is ridiculous. Plus, what the hell happened with Morris who has played well too? All of a sudden Cadillac is the starting guy?? Terrible decision.

It will be a full blown committee though in my opinion.

ACtually, you're wrong saying Caddy hasn't been a good players since his rookie season. HE's actually become a better, more instinctual runner, problem has been getting freak injuries.

Over/Under: Cadillac Williams starts 8 games this season at RB for the Bucs.

So he had a good game against a bunch of back ups in the most meaningless pre season game out of the 4???

Ward and Graham have both proven more than Caddy has in the NFL. It's amazing how the Bucs continue to hang on to this guy for some reason. I'd love to see Graham leave this team and play for someone else for as much as he's been under appreciated over there. Ward's had a pretty nice pre season and is just coming off of a 1,000 yard season where he averaged like 5.6 YPC, and they make Caddy the starter?????

I doubt that this lasts, and even if so this will be one of the biggest committees in the league. It will be a fantasy nightmare.

I actually care not one bit how Caddy, or anyone, performed in the pre-season, so please don't jump to conclusions, or I'll have BBC get the mat. :p

I'm talking about the Caddy of the last couple years, the one who ended up getting hurt. Before each injury, he was a better runner each time then he was in his rookie year. And he was again in practice this year. I'm confident he'll be good again. And if not, no sweat.

He was horrible in his 2nd season before getting hurt. He did absolutely nothing. Where do you get this stuff from that he was such a better runner when the guy barely played each year before getting hurt? He was never on the field long enough to tell that he was a "better runner." He's never ran as good as he did when he was a rookie, and even in that season he got hurt for a few games.

Sure he was. Hence, my conclusion.

That's your explanation of your conclusion Rudi. Surely you can do better than that. ;)

Better than what?

I've watched him play his entire pro career, and he was a better overall player in the last couple of years than he was in his rookie year. I explained it well enough I thought. Now, I'm just hoping he stays healthy.

BTW, you're putting way too much emphasis on Caddy being named the "starter". While it will probably hurt Graham in the stat department, I almost guarantee that Ward and Williams will have right about the same amount of touches.
