If you're David Tyree, which would you rather have?
Make the Superbowl catch but never make a name for yourself again, get cut, fall into obscurity and potentially never play again (which is the case)
Or...
Not make the Superbowl catch, but remain the premier WR on the Giants or for someone else for the next 7-8 years?

I'd choose the latter... You would be doing what you love and have no real worries money wise. As nice as it would be to be a hero i'd prefer that.

His special teams play should get him on a team in the future. I would rather have the 2nd option though.

I'd take the 2nd option.. Basically for the money so it'd be easier to help out the family and such

Yep, same here. Longer career, more bank, less infamy.

The whole reason you ever played the game was to make a play like Tyree did in the Super Bowl. I'll bet you he wouldn't trade that memory for anything, including an impressive career stat sheet or the paycheck that would come with it. I wouldn't either. Give me the SB catch.

First one.
You know how many endorsements and publicity he can get off that catch if he has the right people around him? He could etch out a post-career like Mercury Morris.

I'm 100% with you BBC. There are not many plays that you can gaurantee will be remembered for the rest of time. Tyree's is one of them. I'll take making one of the greatest plays of all time over being just another number on a stat sheet.

The first one.
He'll be on every top 10 list, an answer to a bunch of trivia questions, and always remembered for maybe the best SB catch ever.
He should have a college degree and should be able to have a career doing something...or he'll find his way to another team.

I'm with the first option too. While you may not become a fixture on a team and get cut, he will continue to get chances because of how good he is as a special teams player. I'd give him a chance on my team to be a WR
People will still remember the catch 20 years down the road, but will people remember who the primary receiver was on the Giants?
