Bengals back it up (http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Bengals-back-it-up/8a8f93f2-34db-4dee-bce0-8c2ed89c7473)
I was a little surpised by the White cut but not totally shocked.
I hope that Jeremy Johnson can keep his fat butt working and they don't regret letting Pressly go.

Keeping Jeremy Johnson was a mistake, as is Chatman, he should have been cut the first day of the off season, because he can't stay healthy. I'm sick of the Bengals keeping the lame and/or lazy 'just because'.

What do you guys think of Marvin White?
Was he not any good, or just injury prone or what?

I am on the West Coast and don't get to see many Bengals games so I need to defer to the other guys but this is my take:
He came in advertised as a hard hitter. From what I can tell he never really developed into a consistent player and a few injurys didn't help him. I still had some hope for him but think that he got beat out of his roster spot by players that showed better abilities.
I am interested in what some of the local fans think.

White simply got caught out of position too many times. Yep, he has that big hitter reputation, but we never really saw it in a game. If you can't learn the defense, you can't be in position to deliver the big hit, in short.

So basically he's Roy Williams part 2?

Hardly. Williams has that rap more because of the hatred his former team generates (Cowboys) than anything 'real' you see on tape.
