Brett Favre is slated to play at least the first half against the Houston Texans in a purple uniform next Monday night.

And of course, we'll have all the appropriate game threads and coverage right here on PSH :D < / cheap plug >

Annnnyways, how do you expect the ancient...okay, I was looking for a word starting with m to co-opt mariner, but I came up with nothing. How's he play?

Well... I think he'll play just mediocre enough to keep the "Fans" from calling for tarvaris jackson... I don't think he'll do anything special... But i also don't think he's here to do anything special... this is still the AD & Chester show...

He's there to keep defensive coordinators from telling their strong safety to key on Peterson and try to shut him down in the box. That's about it really.

Exactly... Favre knows how to get the ball out of his hands quickly to the open receiver... and with the running game the vikings have... there will be plenty of open receivers...

And only two of the last eight games are outdoors, so wind will not be a problem, save in Week 16 at Soldier Field.

The schedule is set up very favorably for Favre to be great down the stretch.
