Miami Dolphins' Tony Sparano holds open auditions at receiver - Football - MiamiHerald.com (http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1171684.html?asset_id=1170720&asset_type=gallery)
Tony Sparano's taking the right approach in Miami, caring less about measurables and where his receivers went to school, but caring about what they do on the field.

The WR battle is one I've been watching closely. It is shaping up to be a real good battle. Patrick Turner has been surprising as well as Brian Hartline. Neither of which I wanted. Turner in particular has been making a lot of plays and he may turn out to be the physical receiver we desperately need. The battle between Anthony Armstrong and Brandon London is a really good one as well for the last spot on the roster.
Devone Bess is really pushing Greg Camarillo for the starting spot and Ginn is actually running good routes for a change. Still need to see Ginn do it in a game but it's progress.

I was surprised last year by these guys and I'm sure I will be this year. Competition breeds...
