Donald Brown was the last pick to be signed for the Colts, which means they got everyone signed in time for the start of their training camp. Sweet.

So, what if Anthony Collins wins the tackle job in Cinci because Smith holds out too long then looks as good as I think he is. Do the Bangles suck it up and put Smith at guard and try to say they drafted him to be a guard at 6? Or do they bend Collins over and hand the job to Smith after Collins wins the job anyway?

Rumor has it that Maybin and the bills are Really far apart. The Bills are trying to pay maybin like the 2nd rounder he was valued at. And maybin wants top 10 money, and is kinda regretting declaring early at this point.

Well if a team drafts you 11th overall, then they should pay you like an 11th overall pick, not a 2nd round pick. If the Bills don't value him that high, then why did they draft him there? They should have traded down. Look at where the Panthers picked up Everette Brown.

What I hate is when players want to get paid like where they thought they would go rather than where they ended up like I heard in the case of Brady Quinn.

I don't see a problem there. Supposedly the Rams are going to use Jason Smith at right tackle for now on account of him being a rookie before moving him over to left tackle at some later date.

The Bengals won't look stupid for putting Andre Smith at another position, and if Collins proves to be better than Smith as a left tackle, that's a great problem to have (assuming it's because Collins is great and not because Smith sucks).

Why do you say guard though? After losing Stacy Andrews, I would think there is a big opening at right tackle.

mandatory two year rookie contracts should be standard by now. Allowing kids, who haven't stepped on the field yet to determine a teams make up, is crazy. Give them a decent, but not extravagant contract based on their draft position, and force them to play under it for a couple of years. When you first get hired on you start at a certain salary, usually a standard set number, and then based on the merits of your performance you are rewarded as you go.
This would eliminate hold outs, from spoiled kids, trying to milk every cent out of teams, and force them to earn every cent.

Both are RTs I'm not sure either one could line up on the left side. A lot of people including me, had Andre projected better as a RG. He will get beat by fast NFL DE and LBs and is better suited to play guard given his short stubby frame. I know he played LT in college but I just do not see him as a pro LT. His lateral slide, well he has none. He was the best G prospect in the draft but taking a G that early is just stupid.

Short stubby frame? Where do you get your information?

Smith was measured at over 6'4 (about average for a tackle), and had the longest arms in this draft class. He also had above average footwork in college, lateral speed was never an issue with him against speed rushers that I saw.

A quick DE is just going to get knocked on his ass by Smith. A LB might get around him once in a while, but it would probably have to a LB of DeMarcus WAre or James Harrison caliber.

I agree that it would be too high for a guard, but I don't see any reason why he can't at least do well at right tackle (though I suppose that's high for a career right tackle as well). Anyway, maturity was more of the issue for Andre Smith as a left tackle prospect than measurables, so I'd save the worry for after he plays in the NFL.

And if even if he winds up being turned into a right tackle or guard permanently and does well in those positions, remember that you can certainly do a lot worse that drafting a quality player a bit high for his particular position. You could always draft DHB as the first WR off the board and 7th overall.
