Leon Washington or Darren Sproles?

I would take Washington. He is 20 pounds heavier so i think he could take a better lead load. Their numbers are so close that its just a coin flip.

I'd go with Washington for now, because I've seen him more effective in the passing game and have bigger plays for a longer period of time.

BUT.................

Sproles has shown that he can be very effective in the same compacity, so after this season I could possibly change my mind.

It's a touch call really. They both have a very similar skill set and can bring a lot to their teams.

Washigton for me as well. He's the more explosive back between the two IMO. No knock on Sproles, who is very good in his own right.

I like them both and they are bery similar. i like the additional size of washington but some how darren has a way of finishing plays and playing bigger than he is. Neither one fumbles often. Sproles hasn't been used as much in the passing game until this last seaon. Looking a the stats they again are almost the same person.

I think I have to give the slight edge to Washington mostly because this is the first year SD has really had Darren play in an expanded role with turner being gone. So we've seen it from Washington for three years and Sproles for one. I don't know if we can say either one is much more talented than the other.

I don't think he could ever put up quite the same numbers as Westbrook in the rushing and passing game, but he could come close. I'm not sure if you remember that far back, but I've been advocating to see more of Washington for a long time now going back at least two years. I've always called him a poor man's Westbrook.
