If there’s one chic accessory no top 10 can be without, it’s the Rebels, who in one year have gone from winless in SEC play to a squad thought capable of challenging Alabama for the West Division title. And it all begins with coach Houston Nutt, who fled Arkansas a couple steps ahead of the posse and found a perfect spot in Oxford. He took the great recruiting classes brought in by Ed Orgeron and his staff and showed them how to win.

Following the Cotton Bowl triumph over Texas Tech, Rebel fans couldn’t wait for spring practice. That’s how much optimism abounds at Ole Miss.

They should be good, we'll see if they can consistently remain in the top 15 though.

Who would have thought, a year removed from winning 0 conference games that the Rebels would win the Cotton Bowl and be a pre-season top 10 team. We'll see if Nutt can turn this program into a legitimate contender. As an MSU fan, I certainly hope not.

I don't know if they are top 10, but they are definitely a very good team.
