Same view here, but now that its 'done' I was encouraged by Smith showing up Sunday at PB Stadium.

Now, lets see if the Bengals screw up getting him signed before camp opens in July, as they historically do with first round picks.

There's the key. If there's any one player they must have under contract, it's Smith, if for nothing else than to get him into the facility and be able to monitor his progress up close.

Thats another aspect thats encouraging, hiring Rick Smith. They must really like him, cause they've let it be known Levi Jones is 'going' one way or another.
