PULLMAN, Wash.—The Washington State football team held its second scrimmage of the spring Saturday at Martin Stadium. With future quarterback Jeff Tuel and wide receiver Gino Simone in attendance, the Cougars’ offense excelled in its aerial attack for the majority of the scrimmage.
Redshirt senior Kevin Lopina played well, completing 12-of-17 passes for 162 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown strike to redshirt junior wide receiver Johnny Forzani as time expired in a two-minute drill. Alongside Forzani, sophomore receivers Jared Karstetter and Kevin Norell developed chemistry with Lopina and redshirt sophomore quarterback Dan Wagner.
