With the NFL draft 19 days away, the Cincinnati Bengals are beginning to narrow down their choices of potential prospects as possible draft day selections. University of Georgia redshirt sophomore sensation Knowshon Moreno is a player long believed to be high on the team's list.

If you trade down, get some extra picks and still grab a tackle that can start, and draft him then I don't have too much of a problem with it. Knowing the Bengals they'll take the "flashy" skill player over addressing an offensive line that is a mess.

Offensive line is an area of concern and is the most immediate need. However, it's possible at least two of the best will be off the board at pick six. If they trade down and are still able to nab Moreno then it's a good selection because I believe there will still be some solid OL talent around come round 2.

Anyone want to bet whoever the Bengals draft in the first round, at the 6th pick or if they trade down, that player won't be signed til after the preseason schedule begins?

We kid ourselves if we pretend they'll get a 'starter' that will be a 'starter in 09' folks, based on Mikey Brown's curious history of allowing negotiations to drag out to the point the player can't make a first year impact thats positive.

Regardless, the Bengals need to actually establish some form of defense for a change instead of tying to go after flashy players. They just nabbed up Benson again and they can find another RB in later rounds instead of trying to go with a big name guy on offense. I would hate to see Moreno's career get ruined by him ending up on the Bengals any way.

If they are going to go after an offensive player they really need to address their O line to protect Palmer or get another WR, since TJ is gone and CJ is just a distraction at this point and isn't near the player he once was.

Running backs and quarterbacks are only as good as the line in front of them.

I had Wells as one of there top picks so if they do pass on OL I get them checking other options here. If it is between Oher or a RB why not take Wells or Moreno, it is a deep draft for OL. Even if 6 OL go in the 1st there will still be 4 or 5 guys worth an early 2nd rounder.
