CINCINNATI (AP)—Quarterback Carson Palmer considers his throwing elbow fully healed as he begins offseason workouts with his Cincinnati Bengals teammates.
Palmer chose not to have reconstructive surgery for a partially torn ligament and tendon in his right elbow, which sidelined him for 12 games last season. Instead, he decided to see whether rest would heal the injury.
Before beginning voluntary workouts on Monday, Palmer said he is back to his usual throwing routine because the elbow is fine. The team plans to limit his throwing during preseason workouts as a precaution.

I think/hope the defense will get better under Zimmer. If they don't get the offensive fixed the offense is going to be in for a long season.

The offensive line needs a big fix or Palmer will not stay healthy.

Exactly. They need a OT and a Center. If they can't keep Palmer upright, it doesn't matter who they have at the skill positions, and it doesn't matter that Zimmer has in fact improved the defense.
Last year, you could make the case the Bengals defensive performance was a result of teams seeing a 0-8 beginning, and naturally not being 'up' for their game with the perenial NFL doormat Bengals.
This year is the tale of the tape for the franchise, for Lewis, and for Palmer who is close to being classified - right or wrong - as 'fragile'.

Close your eyes and throw a dart at the board. You never know what you'll get with this franchise. Besides the losing seasons.
