I'd like to make a rule change for the logo contest.
Instead of posting your logos in this thread, PM them to me.
That way when I post the poll, there will be no bias to vote for one over the other.
Thank you
Shoey

I'd say a week.
Then with next week's edition, I'll post the poll, and in 2 weeks, we'll have a winner.

r5d3-You are correct about Dungy to a degree, the Colts are slowly building a defense as we discussed in your trip to Indy this is really only Dungy's 2nd year of being able to build on the defense, we have been drafting a lot of 1-3 rounders on the defensive side of the ball for about the last 3 years....the Colts have the 3rd youngest team in the NFL which speaks to the youth on the defensive side..... but Dungy inherited a lot of money on the defensive side as many high draft LB's etc were playing out the fat end of their rookie contracts, those were finally cleared of the books last year, thus the 2 years of legit D building, Dungy is a smart man he was drafting for depth, with no good starters when he didnt have the money to go after the big $$ guys, so now he has the leverage to go after "some" big D players....3 guys on (O) still get big checks Marvin-Reggie-Peyton everyone else is low dollar for the moment, the Defense will have 5 mid-upper paid guys if the Colts sign Freeney to a long term in the off season....the Colts have one high dollar LB in Brackett and depending on Freeneys deal they may have 2 if June can be squeezed in under the cap so the money has went from 80-20 in favor of the offense...to about 60-40 if Freeney and June both get done it will be about 52-48 at that point.
and for the record the Colts do have the talent to be top 10 already on the roster, however key injuries have prohibited any cohesion this year, it will get there, its been steadily improving over the last two weeks, and with some guys on the cusp of returning it should continue to get better, their numbers were so lousy early on they wont statistically crack the top 10 this year, but the hope is they will be healthy and playing top 10 like by the playoffs...providing there are no key injuries and people come back when they are projected to etc etc...

The Bears were getting dominated by the Giants in the 1st half. Late in the 2nd quarter, Chicago runners had combined for 5 yards on 10 carries. But, it’s the 11th carry that made all the difference. On a 3rd and 22, Grossman handed the ball to Thomas Jones, who proceeded to take the ball 26 yards, and the Bears were revitalized, reversing the action of the game from there on out. According to Al Michaels, it was the first time a 3 and more than 20 was converted by a run since 1999. Jones finished with 113 yards and a score, and Devin Hester pulled off the fake of the year, and the Bears ended up easily handling the Giants.
No love for the guy that nearly doubled those numbers? :(

Oh no, Fast Willie was certainly under consideration. Thing is, I'm trying to find the guy who changed a game, not really just looking at stats.

I'm not sure how Willie was able to rush for 213 yards with nearly a 10 yard per carry average and two touchdowns without changing the game :shrugging:

Well, CJ had 260 receiving yards and lost, so it's not all stats.
Just to let you know, if I was picking a player of the week, Palmer, CJ, LT, Parker and Rivers would all be above Jones on my list. I picked Jones because that one run changed the whole course of the game, Parker ran for his yards while with the lead at all times. I'm sure if you looked hard (or not so hard) you can quickly find many players with better statistical games than JArvis Moss, but he got my not because without his blocked kicks, the Gators would have lost.
See where I'm coning from with these?

I understand where you're coming from, but I think you're wrong in saying that Jones changed the game more than Willie did. In just two touches, Willie took a game that was tied and could have gone either way to a game with the Steelers on top by 2 touchdowns and with full control of the momentum.
Just for the record, Willie hardly ran for his yards with the lead at all times. The Steelers were without the lead for roughly 24 minutes - nearly half of the game.

Due to making 3 previews, I kind of lost time to do this column this week, but I wanted to recreate some interest in the logo contest.
Open to anyone.
Make a logo, similar to Raiden's woof, and PM it to me. I'll then put them anonymously in a poll for you to vote on.
Winner gets 5000 MVP's.

I homeristically and honestly request that someone who is not a Colt fan mention this name for DROY in conversation and what better place to do it than here :)
