Well so far fans I still haven't road the back of the gator all the way to victory lane, but I am due for a flat out skunk no? I mean come on the gator cant win forever, this week we went in opposite directions, so there is no way we can tie someone is going to win outright, it needs to be the worm, gator has finally crawled off of that rock he was sunning himself on so follow the bouncing ball with some mindless bean counting, and BTW Go worm or go home!
So far on the season Crunked is 65-47(8-6 last week) against me; and I am 78-34(8-6 last week)against Crunked. Gators is 96-48 for the season in his predictions thread. Gators currently leads 5-1-2 against Crunked.

:gator: Gators:
This is a pretty good matchup of the 2 most underachieving teams in the NFC West this year. These were the 2 favorites to win the division at the start of the year and because of injuries(Rams) and inconsistent QB play(Cardinals), neither are really even close to winning the division. The Rams got Bulger and Holt back last week and they were out of sync, they should be better this week, while the Cards have Kurt Warner, who hasn't won a game since he played for the Rams starting at QB. In a "Rude homecoming for Kurt Warner"
Rams 27 Cardinals 18

Bait:
Well the simple fact is one of these teams have to win sooner or later. I would like to think the spanking the Rams got last week would be a wake up call for their squad. Gator, Gator I think Warner won a game or two in NY last year, lets not get carried away there gator-rate-r. Anyway its a good point Warner hasn't won in a long, long time, after this week it might just be a little longer.

:gator:Gators:
Here's probably the best game of the week. You have the very strong NFC South division leader vs. the surprising NFC North division leader. The Panthers are starting to flex their muscles as they have won very impressively the last couple of weeks, while the Bears just seem to get it done however they can. Nathan Vasher set a record last week with his 108 yard return. His reward is having to help cover Steve Smith. In a "North wins again, the South never wins" Bears 17 Panthers 14

Bait:
I want the Bears to win this, man I want the Bears to win this more than anything, but I have to be realistic, going up a good run stopping defense and they are minus their A-train and their rookie Benson, so I have to hope Orton out passes Delhomme and that the former Panther has a better game than the current Panther? Its just too much of a leap of faith for ole' crunky....In a I hate to say it special

That couldn't have possibly been the same Joey Harrington that we had seen earlier this season. Where did he learn how to play QB? Now can he keep it up? Dallas was very fortunate to be on the other end of a big comeback. They were used to the other side. They are definetely now the favorites to win the division after beating the Eagles and Giants losing to the Vikings. In a "Now there's the Joey that we are used to seeing"
Cowboys 31 Lions 10(Joey 4 INT's)

Bait:
Well look for Dallas to have a mental let down this week and they may look shakey for the first two quarters but that still wont be enough for the flaming Joeys to do anything, in a Garcia is bad and Harrington is worse all we need is a few good draft picks special

Jaguars were very impressive last week in finally playing regular to a depleted Ravens team rather than down to the worse teams. The Titans are one of the bad teams though, so that could cause a problem to the Jaguars. Honestly as a Jaguar fan, I'm more worried about the lower tier games against teams thata are injured or not as good, because they never play to their potential. Finally we gave Matt Jones the ball, you saw what happened, so continue giving him the ball. The Titans young corners Pac Man Jones and UF man Reynaldo Hill both need big games defensively if they want a chance at winning. In a "Let's start the streak of 58 more games until the Jags score 30 again"
Jags 20 Titans 17

Bait:
Gator is so silly, this will be a divisional dog fight, sure, the Titans can't stop anyone from stretching the field the Jags can't stretch the field, so what gives? Well I think attrition will get the best of McNair and Pac-man and one of them will start forcing the issue and make some critical mistakes.

Sage Rosenthals finally gets a start. Gamefarm is going to be very happy. I hope he is able to sleep on Saturday night with all the anxiousness(not sure if that's even a word, but it sounds good). The Browns are starting the experienced Trent Dilfer again. He is going to have to start finding Braylon Edwards. I really haven't heard much from him this year. In a "Sage to Wes Welker 4 teh win!"
Dolphins 20 Browns 10

Bait:
The stupid Dolphins pass on all four downs last week against the Pats a team who is struggling to stop the run, I still don't understand that, and probably never will. Coach Saban must have decided that the loss was Frerrote's fault, I would argue anyone who would start him shoulders all the blame in the world.Anyway this is winniable for either squad really, but I will give the nod to the home team as they seem only a tick more settled personel wise than the Fins.

Saints have John Haslett the Patriots have Bill Belicheck. The Saints have inconsistent Aaron Brooks at QB, the Patriots have Mr. Consistent Tom Brady. The Patriots are looking to regain the magic of the homefield advantage after it failed them against the Colts. The Saints are looking to get respectable again. What better way then beating the Patriots in NE? In a "Complete the pattern...Win, Loss, Win, Loss, Win, Loss, Win, Loss, Win, ____. Answer: WIN"
Patriots 31 Saints 20

Bait:
Back to back, eh gator? Well I really don't think the pattern is intentional so I am going with the cop out answer ....yeah what he said. The Pats as depleted as they are with injuries are still a better team than the Saints.

The Redskins can't blowout anyone not from SF out and the Raiders are always in tight games, so this game should be very very good. The only difference is that the Redskins have pulled out their close games, while the Raiders have struggled in finishing. Both teams are led by a Moss. Randy Moss is more athletic, but Santana Moss has been the bigger playmaker so far this year. The Redskins D has been very iffy in containing the big plays, while the Raiders O is big plays waiting to happen. It should be a good game and as long as the Raiders can take advantage of the Jerry Porter vs. Walt Harris match, they should be in it. It will likely come down to the kicking game. In a "You can never trust a FSU FG kicker when it matters"
Redskins 31 Raiders 28

Bait:
Can you say yet another heart breaker for Raider fans? I knew you could. I wonder when the season is over and the smoke clears will the fans feel their team improved this year? hmmm, it would be interesting to know wouldn't it? Well at any rate I think this game is close for three quarters and won in the fourth by the Skins.

Tampa has been one of the best teams containing Vick over the years. Tampa still has one of the best D's, even though they gave up a combined 71 pts the last 2 games. Tampa's lefty is finally catching on, it would help to get some consistent running for him but oh well, Vick says " don't talk about my abilities as a passer" so what is there to talk about then? I would highly suggest you to not read Bait's comment on this game. It's that bad. Yes Alexander is doing great, but the props should go to Walter Jones, the best LT in the game.(not named Ladanian Tomlinson-I know bad joke). The Niners, well their punter had good enough backspin in the 40 MPH wind to force the punt returner to fumble 4 times(losing 3). Well that's all the good stuff I can say about them. The Game of the week by far. 2 of the highest powered offenses going up against each other. Kansas City was humiliated last week as their "high powered offense" was completely shutdown. Can Larry Johnson actually lead a team? Here's one of the best rivalries in the NFL. Both teams pulled off shocking upsets last week and who would have thought that these teams would have combined for a 6-12 record. Both teams have been killed by injuries this year as Vikings star QB Daunte Culpepper is down and the Packers have to use their #3 RB Samkon Gadu. Johnson is 2-0 starting and Gadu had 100+ yards and 3 TD's last week, so the players are still stepping up. In a "You can only step up so much. "

The Redskins can't blow anyone not from SF out and the Raiders are always in tight games

For our more sensitive readers, I think what he meant to say was - The Redskins can't blowout anyone not from SF.:p :D What made it even funnier was that he mentions San Francisco!;) (sorry Gators,I couldn't resist)

Anyway, another tough one, I go with gator on a few and bait on others, but give the slight edge to Gators this week.

The anxiety is killing me!;)

BTW, great read as always guys!

Bait did pick 2 upsets, but i feel the foundation is there for them to happen, whether they do or not is subject to outcome, but they are not off the wall upsets

Good week Crunked. I'm seriously considering changing my Monday night pick because I hate tying. I either want to win or loss straight up.

maybe we need to start putting a total points for Monday nighters as a tie breaker, closest to total points scored is the winner...but believe me try being the guy with only one win looking at all those ties thinking what could have been..... btw after my rocky start I have went 1-1-3 in the last 5 weeks

Do you want to have total points? My score was 31-28, which is 59 points.
