Some are billing this week as the revenge of the worm. I would rather think that the creme is rising to the top as the reptile world was set on its heels soundly last week. We of the limbless sect will not be flag waving, quite the opposite, we spent the week underground reasearching the in's and outs of this weeks match up. Now when gator gets done warming his belly on that "rock" over there, he will entertain you with some mindless bean counting.

Sunday, Nov. 13

Arizona at Detroit, 1:00 p.m.

:gator: Gators: Both teams had huge expectations to begin the season and both have struggled mightily. Both had young QB's that have struggled and both are counting on a veteran to lead them. Both have many weapons at their QB's disposal. In a "These teams are very similar" upset special.
Lions 17 Cardinals 13

Bait: This is a double triple reverse sideways down cunnundrum. Detroit should have a good QB, and good recievers, but don't. Their defense should be young and inconsistent but isn't the Cards should be making a playoff push but they are not, their defense should be young and good but isnt.....so Crunked goes with the home team by default.
Detroit 17 (somehow) Cards 14

Baltimore at Jacksonville, 1:00 p.m.

:gator:Gators: Well I was wrong last week about the Jaguars. Although the Texans did give them a hard time. Baltimore played and lost to another tough division rival last week. This will be the start of the Jags easy schedule and playoff run. In a "Cats eat birds" special.
Jaguars 24 Ravens 10

Bait: Jags are wavering lately, losing to the Rams, nearly losing to the Texans, the Ravens on the other hand are coming on strong, they have started to develop a little offense. This might be the mile post for two strangers passing on a deserted road. I still peg the Jags to win, but it won't be as easy as that gator thinks.
Jags 17 Ravens 16

SF 49ers at Bears 1:00 p.m.
:gator: Gators:The 49ers have been playing hard and staying in the games, while the Bears don't really have the offensive firepower to blow teams out. Kyle Orton has been solid at QB for the Bears and there are questions as to whether or not he's the future QB rather than Rex Grossman. Thomas Jones has been running hard and I'm expecting him to have a big game. In a "Just to stay under the spread"
Bears 17 Niners 6.

Bait: The Bears are a team to be reckoned with this year even with the inconsitent rookie QB Orton. Their defense is hard hitting and will take its toll on the young and rebuilding niners.
Bears 18 Niners 3

Houston at Indianapolis, 1:00 p.m.

:gator: Gators: Indianapolis is 9-0, Houston is 1-8. Indianapolis has arguably the best defensive line in the game. Houston has arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL. It should be very one sided right? WRONG
Colts 24 Texans 20.

Bait: Has anyone noticed the Texans have been playing good ball lately, nearly knocking off the Jags last week. Is it finally time for them to play up to the level of their talent? If so that means the Colts are facing a 1-8 playoff caliber team and that is a scary thought.
Colts 38 Texans 20

http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/nfl/teams/1/80x60/kan.gif (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/kan) VS http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/nfl/teams/1/80x60/buf.gif (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/buf)
Kansas City at Buffalo, 1:00 p.m.

:gator: Gators: Kansas City is coming off of a crazy finish after they elected to go for the win at the 1 with 5 secs left and 0 TO's. Buffalo had a bye. The Chiefs have just learned that Priest Holmes will have to miss the rest of the year. They are lucky they have another back like Larry Johnson who is capable of carrying the load. Buffalo's RB is "the best back in the league". In a "Oh father, we art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name."
Chiefs 24 Bills 23

Bait: In my estimation the test of the Bills manhood was against the Pats. They had a chance to take control of their own destiny with a win there, and folded to the former champs. This game is even more important than the last, and if they couldnt win that one, I hold no hope in them winning this one.
Chiefs 31 Bills 17

Minnesota at N.Y. Giants, 1:00 p.m.
:gator: Gators: Brad Johnson sparked this VIkings team last week in his first start of the season. Will he be able to do it again? The Giants are one of the hottest teams in football right now as they lead the tough NFC East. Eli Manning and Plaxico Burress/Jeremy Shockey has been one of the best trios in the game. Not to mention you have Tiki running the ball. Minnesota's D has underachieved so far this year, can they shed the label? In a "Use a Tiki torch to break the Plaxico glass"
Giants 31 Vikings 10

Bait: Another team playing up to their pre-season billing FINALLY is the Vikes, but right now little Manning is the hot prodigy of Archie. Enjoy it Giants fans, its a fun ride. The Giants are just playing too well right now and will be too much for the Vikings in every way.
Giants 34 Vikings 17

New England at Miami, 1:00 p.m.
:gator: Gators: I don't get all the talk about New England's inconsistency. New England has won every other game. That's very consistent if you ask me. They are so easy to predict, because you know it's going to go W L W L W L W L, etc.. The Patriots have superstar Tom Brady, while the Dolphins have superdud Gus Frerotte. At least the Dolphins have a running game with R & R. In a "The pattern continues"
Patriots 21 Dolphins 17.

Bait: One thing is for sure, the Pats are a team of heart and belief, so depending on how their Monday night loss settles in with them will have a bearing on how they come out this week. I know coach B. preaches one week at a time, but it could have been the morale breaker or team motivator Monday. I am going to give the nod to the young Dolphins in a lets make this division interesting pick.
Miami 17 Patriots 16

Denver at Oakland, 4:05 p.m.

:gator: Gators: Denver was one of the best teams in the league entering their bye last week. They are hoping the bye week doesn't slow down their momentum. Oakland has been a part of some of the craziest games this year. They always seem to be on the wrong end of everything. Randy Moss needs to wake up and make some plays. 1 catch this week isn't going to help the Raiders win. He's going to need to have a rebreakout game. In a "Even though Randy isn't the best Moss(Santana), he's still gonna ring the Bell this week"
Raiders 28 Broncos 24.

Bait: I agree with gators on this one, why? look its divisional, the Raiders have been on the short end of the stick EVERYTIME this year, Denver is one of those good teams that looks pedistrian occasionally, its a match made in NFL heaven.
Raiders 35 Broncos 31

N.Y. Jets at Carolina, 4:05 p.m.

:gator: Gators: These teams are going in completely opposite directions. The Jets are really struggling at 2-6, but they have hope as Brook Bollinger threw for nearly double the TD's the other 3 QB's had thrown for. Delhomme on the other hand isn't having any problem throwing TD's. All he needs to do is put the ball in Steve Smith's hands. The Jets do have a good defense though, but will it be enough to stop Smith, Delhomme, and Stephen Davis. In a "Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin"
Panthers 31 Jets 7

Bait: The Jets are looking better, but right now the Panthers are one of the hot NFL commodities dont bet against a hot team that is what daddy larvae taught me, and I am going with my gooie namesake.
Panthers 24 Jets 17

Green Bay at Atlanta, 4:15 p.m.

:gator: Gators: THe QB's in this game are complete opposites. Brett Farve is one of the best passers in the history of the NFL, while Micheal Vick is the best scrambling QB in the NFL. The Packers would like to run the ball, but their #1 and #2 RB's are out for the season, so they have to go with the guy with the coolest name in the NFL... Samkon Gado. The Falcons have 2 good RB's to go along with Vick. Vick always seems to get a W somehow. In a "I thought Falcons were supposed to fly, not run"
Falcons 20 Packers 14

Bait: Michael Vick the QB with the golden legs??? whats next a lineman with good hands???? LB'ers who can juke? DT's who have sweet TD celebrations??? Well gator is right VIck out atheletes his opponent, I will be impressed when he out QB's his opponent but don't expect to ever see it. In a I hate Michael Vick but I will pick him anyway special.
Falcons 24 Packers 23

Washington at Tampa Bay 4:15 p.m.

:gator: Gators: The Skins are coming off of a big win against the TO-less Eagles, while the Bucs got hammered last week. Bucs still have a great D, but with Simms ineffectiveness the Bucs haven’t been able to get anything going on offense. Both of these teams have 1 of the best receivers in the NFL in Moss and Galloway. It should be interesting to see how 2 good defensive secondaries do against the great WR’s. In a “Young vs. Old showdown”
Skins 21 Bucs 13.
Bait: Bucs are reeling their caddy is not running right and their rookie is struggling at QB. Say what you will but they may now be too young at the skill positions for their defense to overcome, so for now one more week of struggles

Skins 17 Tampa 10

St. Louis at Seattle, 4:15 p.m.
:gator: Gators: This is an intriguing matchup. St. Louis has been very wounded the last couple of weeks, but they should be getting a full arsenal back with Mark Bulger, Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce returning. THey had a nice week off last week. With them combined with Stephen Jackson they do have one of the best offenses in the entire NFL. Unfortunately they have no defense and they are playing the #1 offense in the NFL in the Seahawks. Does anyone think that the Rams will be able to stop Shaun Alexander this weekend? In a defensive struggle,
the Seahawks 514140170 the Rams 514140153(17 pt difference)

Bait: Gator is a little off on the difference in score, but he is about dead nuts on for how much each team scores, before the Ram injuries they were the #2 offense, so number 1 versus number 2 don't pack your defense you aren't going to use it special.
Seahawks 41 Rams 38

Cleveland at Pittsburgh, 8:30 p.m.
:gator: Gators: Oh boy this should be a fun game to watch. The Browns aren't very good, while the Steelers are one of the best teams in the NFL. Cleveland is coming off of a win in which Dilfer looked like the same guy that won a Super Bowl, not the other Dilfer that we are used to seeing. Ben is a questionable, but even with Batch/Maddox they should be able to roll over them. Oh yeah, they got Duce back. IN a "DUCE, DUCE, DUCE, DUCE, DUCE"
Steelers 35 Browns 3

Bait: Is it going to be hard for the readers to vote on a winner this week, gator I have to agree with you again, the Steelers should have no problems with our without a QB this week.
Steelers 21 Browns 10

Dallas at Philadelphia, 9:00 p.m.
:gator: Gators: Dallas and Philadelphia have had a bunch of controversy the last couple of weeks. Dallas because they can't seem to close out games and Philly because of Terrell Owens. Let's ask Keyshawn what he thinks of the whole situation, since he's been through it himself. "TO's right, just throw me the damn ball". Very interesting. In a "Keyshawn never lies, except maybe this time"
Philadelphia 24 Dallas 23

Bait: Here is the intriguing part of this match up, Philly can't run the ball, I mean not even a little bit and yet they still have enough talent to win this match up. So this is where Phillys heart is tested and it may be in trouble. I am going to go out on a limb and go with the blue stars here, if the Tuna can't get them ready for what they are going to face in Philly no one can.

Well, you guys only have two games that are different.....

Philadelphia vs. dallas and New England vs. Miami.

I think New England is going to win one which would make it +1 for Gators, but I also think Dallas will win which would make it even.......

So, is their any way that you could add a "tie" option for the bet?

I think that you guys will tie, and the tie goes to the person that i picked last week. And that would be Bait. :)

Wow, this was your closest week yet! I really like the idea of making it a bet, lol. I ended up going with Gator due to 1 pick:rolleyes::homer: . I wanted to throw some points on bait because the odds are great (I'm taking it that he's 8/1 due to gator winning 8 and bait 1?) and, the picks were so close.
