Well for those supporters of Bait, this is the time we rise up, Gator chewed me up and spit me out last week, but this IS the week of the worm. This is the week the armless species of planet earth raise their collective fists (so to speak) in the air in defiance of the toothy mongrels who have ruled this planet. Now here is the only bean counting reptile you will ever meet gator with some needless bean counting.
So far on the season Crunked is 36-34(7-7 last week) against me; and I am 50-20(10-4 last week)against Crunked. Gators is 68-34 for the season in his predictions thread. Gators currently leads 4-0-1 against Crunked

The Giants pulled off a great come from behind win against the Broncos as Eli drove down the field to throw a TD pass to Amani Toomer with 5 secs left to win the game. Clinton Portis finally broke out as he had more TD's last week then he had in his first 20 career games combined. Mark Brunell and Eli Manning have been 2 of the most pleasant surprises for their respective teams this year. Both had semi low expectations and have exceeded them by a lot. Bait Brunnell is making a liar out of us all, he is having a giaganto raised from the dead experience, and Gibbs has had a defense from the word go, so this is now a legit playoff contender as long as this trend continues. The Giants on the other hand are playing good ball on offense but still giving up too many points on defense. They will get their turnovers and score their points to a degree, but Gibbs D and mega O will previal.

Then there's Denver, who had a heartbreaking last 5 sec loss against the G-men. Broncos will come out firing. I rarely pick either of these teams in close ball games. Bait Phillly looked dominant defensively in their win against the Chargers, and Jake and the boys finally fell to earth against that other Manning. This match up should seperate the men from the boys, the Broncos have a tendency to self implde at times, while the Eagles have no running game, and a limited passing game. I have to give the advantage to the home team in this one because it is just too close to call.

The Patriots could be the best 3-3 team in history as they have had an extremely tough early season schedule. At least it gets a little easier now for their fans. Bait Big Ben will have his work cut out for him, against a resurging defense. These guys are still struggling to make the big turnovers, they are getting stingy on the yardage allowed. The Steelers defense is no slouch either this will be a dog fight but in the end, the Steelers have way more weapons on offense and will prevail in a game that will be close to the end with the Steelers slowly pulling ahead all game

The Giants pulled off a great come from behind win against the Broncos as Eli drove down the field to throw a TD pass to Amani Toomer with 5 secs left to win the game. Clinton Portis finally broke out as he had more TD's last week then he had in his first 20 career games combined. Mark Brunell and Eli Manning have been 2 of the most pleasant surprises for their respective teams this year. Both had semi low expectations and have exceeded them by a lot. Bait Brunnell is making a liar out of us all, he is having a giaganto raised from the dead experience, and Gibbs has had a defense from the word go, so this is now a legit playoff contender as long as this trend continues. The Giants on the other hand are playing good ball on offense but still giving up too many points on defense. They will get their turnovers and score their points to a degree, but Gibbs D and mega O will previal.

Then there's Denver, who had a heartbreaking last 5 sec loss against the G-men. Broncos will come out firing. I rarely pick either of these teams in close ball games. Bait Phillly looked dominant defensively in their win against the Chargers, and Jake and the boys finally fell to earth against that other Manning. This match up should seperate the men from the boys, the Broncos have a tendency to self implde at times, while the Eagles have no running game, and a limited passing game. I have to give the advantage to the home team in this one because it is just too close to call.

The Niners gave up 52 points to the damn Redskins. THE REDSKINS. I'm a homer, but I would have been shocked if the Skins scored 52 points in 2 consecutive games combined. They don't have Griese this week or the rest of the season. Will they need Griese? Not this week. In a " Simms is lucky that his trial week is against the Niners"

:gator: Gators This was a good matchup at the beginning of the season, but now it doesn't look very good. Bills have lost their defensive star and their offense just can't get going. The Patriots could be the best 3-3 team in history as they have had an extremely tough early season schedule. At least it gets a little easier now for their fans. The Patriots coming off of a bye week + the Bills being injured=Patriots win. In a "Buttchin power Tom Brady 4 teh win!"

Two the one thing that the Bills defense will let you do is the one thing the Pats have struggled to have consistently and that is a running game. The Ravens have underachieved big time this season and the Steelers are coming off a big division win against the Bengals and could continue to seize the division after this week. Ravens QB's are really struggling, which means Jamal Lewis is struggling. Against one of the top rushing D's in the league, I see Lewis as this weeks Dud of the Week. Bait Big Ben will have his work cut out for him, against a resurging defense. These guys are still struggling to make the big turnovers, they are getting stingy on the yardage allowed. The Steelers defense is no slouch either this will be a dog fight but in the end, the Steelers have way more weapons on offense and will prevail in a game that will be close to the end with the Steelers slowly pulling ahead all game
