Did you all enjoy the facts to accompany the positions? I thought it took away from the debate of it all. Oh well, on with the show...
Big movers and shakers this week as some teams hit the tipping point and fell like a stone, still others rose like a phoenix from the ashes. We even had a couple bye week movers as people improved or regressed while they set still, one was the former champs falling three spots by taking a week off. You snooze you lose, now lets see where they shake out after a wild week 7 (statistically speaking)

How do the Eagles go from 9 to 14 when they let up 17 points, force two fumbles, get 2 INT, 3 sacks and hold LT to 7 yards rushing on 17 attempts?

And, even though this is probably special teams, they return a blocked kick for a TD which won them the game.

sometimes when you are on the low end of the bell curve and the rest of the class scores high, well you get dumped....Philly got dumped.

again this is a cumaltive total not based on their last game alone, it is, at this point a synopsis of 7 weeks of work. Next week it will be 8 weeks of work and so on.

At least the 49ers pass yardage went down a little...

I can see how they're around where you put them with that, but I don't get how they went down last week.

They're were 9 teams who held their opponents to les points than the Eagles held the Chargers to.

And, they let up the 11th most total offensive yards last week.

Their is two major upgrades for them .In order for them to go down 5 spots, they must've done horrible at the other categories which they didn't because they let up 1.1 YPC. 1.1 YPC against LT and they still move down like they did?

I just don't get it.

When I use this formula I plug in a number value for each position down to a tenth of a point. In the secondary categories I do the same and then divide by 2 as they are lesser statistical categories of consideration. To make a long story short a teams ranking may be 17.24 for example. Lets say in that example that earns them the 9th overall spot, lets say the next week they improved in some categories, stayed the same in others and slightly dropped in yet others, and their total ends up being 17.21 an improvement of .003, but lets say they were only .001 ahead of 2 teams while 3 or 4 others gained a tenth or .10 of a point, and viola the drop. I am no math guru, but it happens sometimes when the right stats increase at the right time. It could possibly be a flaw in my formula too, although I have always felt they are pretty close to nailing most teams. There are teams from time to time to be on that bubble, as a matter of fact my Colts are on it now, and they are on a bye week if the right teams around them get the right stats Sunday they could be bumped with even playing.

It does look odd, ya know the Colts were much like that last year maybe that is a good sign

I'm still wondering what the RAIDERS are ranked in the run against category. Any idea? After holding "the best in the league..." to only 50 yards, and allowing only one (premier) back to get over the hundred mark, they've got to be up there. I mean they've taken on some of the leagues best backs and only the true best was able to get above 100 yards.

Oakland is currently 18th giving up an average per game of 111.8 which is a 3.7 Yards per carry average which is good.

*Disclaimer*Don't forget rushing yards include everyone who carries the ball including the QB, my Colts avg 108 yards and have not allowed anyone to gain over 100 yards in a game but QB scrambles and other runners account for the overage, I would imagine that is the same thing happening to your Raiders
