What gator didnt win?!!! thats right and thats the good news, the bad news is I didnt win either. In fact gator and I tied last week we both called some good games and lost some stinkers. Lets look at what that reptile has to say this week, and I will try to "worm" my way into a victory straight up this week, in our love the bait special; Week 7
So far on the season Crunked is 29-27(10-4 last week) against Gators and Gators is 40-16(10-4 last week)against Crunked. Gators is 58-30 for the season in his predictions thread. Gators currently leads 3-0-1 against Crunked.

Detroit at Cleveland
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:This is a great showdown. Both of these teams are coming off of tough losses. Both teams offenses couldn’t score a TD. Detroit’s D had their 2 TD’s. This could very well be one of Joey Harrington’s last starts in Detroit. He needs to make something happen with his receivers and get people off of Kevin Jones. In the “ZzZzZzZzZzZz” special
Browns 6 Lions 3!
Bait: This is a great showdown, the rub is this. Dilfer had a bad week, Harrington is a bad QB. There I said it, now for the real assessment. The Lions D is good, not like top 5 good, but "could beat ya if ya ain't careful good". They are young, and on the road and Dilfer doesn't falter often. So gator is right, you have to give the nod to the home team

Green Bay at Minnesota
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:Wow, how far both of these teams have fallen. Both of them were the favorites to win the NFC North, but both are sitting in the basement at 1-4, luckily for them they are only 1 game out. This game could jumpstart either team and get them in the playoffs. All 3 games last year ended with a 31-28 score. Well this year it will be a little different. In a “Maybe we should get back on that boat” special Packers 31 Vikings 10.
Bait: Both of these teams are struggling, one because they are rebuilding around an aging star QB. The Vikings however have suffered through the ticket scalping coach, the whizzinator, the Moss rolling on down the road, and a boat load of hookers. What do they have to show for their efforts? A coach that is as good as toast and he knows it, and a bunch of renegade misfit players who are running the locker room. In the rebuild meets Romper room special

Indianapolis at Houston
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:Possibly the most intriguing matchup of the week, the only undefeated team vs. the only winless team. The Colts have a fierce pass rush, while the Texans couldn’t block a peewee team. Don’t be surprised if the Texans get sacked more than the points they put up. In a “Wanted: Anyone who can stand in the way of a defensive lineman”
Colts 27 Texans 3
Bait: No intrigue whatsoever here, the Texans always play the Colts tough in Houston, whether deserved or not, on paper it should be a laugher, but you have a team that has deserved to lose the last two facing a team who actually did it (lose that is) in a for no reason at all special

Kansas City at Miami
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators: Chiefs came off of a big win, while Miami came off of a tough loss. Has Trent Green lost his confidence in Tony Gonzalez this year? It doesn’t even seem like they are looking for him as he has a outstanding 4 catches for 18 yards and 0 TD’s the last 2 games. Well it was good to see Ricky Williams back on the field last week….. if you are a Bucs fan. Seriously though, Ricky and Ronnie need to have a big game this week for them to get a win. In a “Tony only has good hands on the field”
Chiefs 24 Dolphins 14
Bait: Chiefs are ripe for a team like Miami, the running of the bulls may begin! in a Ricky and Ronnie conquer the world well at least previal in Miami don't make me come down there and whip your fishy butts up for proving me wrong special

New Orleans at St. Louis
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:The Saints actually had a pulse last week as they nearly beat the Vick lead Falcons. The Rams looked good early, but then completely fell apart once Bulger left with an injury. Neither of these teams know what a defense consists of. In a “There’s going to be no chicken poop calls in this game Jim”
Rams 45 Saints 42
Bait: The Rams may be without Bulger, and what I saw of him briefly on Monday night looked impressive. What I saw after Bulger left was something quite different. However a week of taking snaps should help put their back up in shape to play well enough to win.

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:Did Tommy Maddox make his way back to Pittsburgh with the team after his performance in the Jaguar game? I think he just stayed in Pittsburgh. Ben is back! Hines should be back! So everything is good for the Steelers now, right? NO They play the Bengals! Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson are perhaps the best duo in the league right now. Will Pitt be able to stop them? In a “Roethlisberger’s are back on the menu this week”
Steelers 17 Bengals 14(Yes Johnson does catch a TD)
Bait: Straight up on paper this is an easy call. The young Bengals for as good as they are defensively can't stop the run. Sorry folks its true look at the numbers. The Steelers on the other hand live to run and run to live, Palmer and chad will get theirs, but they won't be selling tickets to the high wire act. this week the Steelers defense is too good.

San Diego at Philadelphia
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:Is there anyone in the NFL even close to as versatile as LT? Rumor says that Phillip Rivers is now moved back to #3 on the depth chart behind Brees and LT. Is there anything this guy doesn’t do? Oh yeah, he doesn’t holdout. Speaking of holdouts, on the other sideline there will be TO. McNabb better each his chunky soup this week, because the fans in Philly won’t tolerate another outing like 2 weeks ago, neither will my fantasy teams. In a “LT will pass, run, receive, block a punt, return a kickoff, pickoff a pass, recover a fumble all for TD’s”
LT 30(Chargers 35) Eagles 24
Bait: LT this, LT that, blah blah blah, he was doing that last year wasn't he? Yes....get off the LT train gator, you know reptiles suffer motion sickness. The Chargers will win this one thanks to their versatile RB? puuuuulease. He's right, in a "its too late to comeback now the Eagles fans cry big ole wtf happened to us tears"

San Francisco at Washington
1:00 p.m.
:gator:Gators:This is actually a very intriguing matchup, even if you aren’t a fan of either team.(so that pretty much counts everyone reading this) Alex Smith got picked off 4 times in his debut and the Redskins D has only forced 2 turnovers in the 5 games this year. Something has to give. The big question right now is when will Portis score his first TD of the season? In a “Who needs Portis scoring the TD’s when you have Santana Moss scoring all the TD’s?”
Redskins 24 Niners 13
Bait: Look for the niners to be playing with renewed spirit with Rattay gone and their money on the field, errr rookie on the field. The Skins have to many skill players for them though. Smith won't get a TD this week either, just my prediction. He has another week of lump taking first, as do all rookie QB's.

Dallas at Seattle
4:05 p.m.
:gator:Gators:These are probably 2 out of the top 3 or 4 teams in the NFC right now. Neither get the respect that they deserve. Both have quietly started off 4-2 and are both currently leading their division. They both do have something in common though…. They both lost to the Redskins when they should have won! Dallas’s D shutdown the high powered Giants offense, but that was just a warmup for the best O in the NFC. In a “You can’t lasso a seahawk”
Seahawks 31 Cowboys 20
Bait: Dallas plays like a team possessed. Possessed by Sybil that is, young ones study your movie history to get that joke. The Seahawks are the biggest NFC power offensively this year, and coming from a team that has no desire one way or another I think that speaks volumes to their talent. Seattle will get theirs and Dallas will too, but Seattle will get more...in the "look someone just scored again game of the week"

Baltimore at Chicago
4:15 p.m.
:gator:Gators: I am the curse for the Ravens. Every single week I think that they will break out and they let me down, so I finally decided to not pick them and they win 16-3. Chicago has a chance to be alone in 1st in the division with a 3-3 record with a win here. The difference between last week and this week for the Ravens is that they actually face a defense this week. I will be in shock if they can put up 16 pts against the Bears. In a “Who cares about the Bears, the White Sox are in the World Series!”
Bears quietly win 17-10
Bait: Two good defenses, one bad offense and a rookie QB, film at 11. This one has the makings of a stranger than life mini series. No Ed Reed for the Poe's and Papa Bear is riding high on the arm of inconsistency if you do the long form math it all equals advantage home team in the fabulously, fantastic, field goal kicking frenzy special.

Buffalo at Oakland
4:15 p.m.
:gator:Gators:I’m just as bad with the Bills. I pick them to breakout and they suck, so I pick them to lose and they breakout. The Raiders biggest question right now is the offense. Hold on a sec, wasn’t this supposed to be the opposite? Norv Turner is on the hot seat right now and he needs to start winning some ball games. “The hotseat is getting a little chillier Norv!”
Raiders 21 Bills 14
Bait: Gators got this one all wrong, "he-he" Here is a great Passing offense that can't stop the pass themselves (raiders) going against the best pass defense that will let you run all day(bills). In a whacky shocker reverse double upset (carry the 1) long division special

Denver at N.Y. Giants
4:15 p.m.
:gator:Gators:Denver is arguably the best team in the league after their domination of the defending champions. The question now is, what got into Jake Plummer? He actually looked really good. Tatum Bell has been unstoppable the last couple of weeks. He is a great young player. The Giants offense was stalled after their bye week. Eli just couldn’t get into any rhythm. Most games are won by the better QB. In a “Last week was a fluke!”
Giants 42 Broncos 21
Bait: Gator has been smoking Llama dung again...the Giants couldn't score 42 against the Broncos. What is he thinking, the Broncos, Bucs and Jags are playing the best team football right now, is he nuts??? Yes (don't answer that)....DOH!, too late. In a Jake looks human but they win anyway special.

Tennessee at Arizona
4:15 p.m.
:gator:Gators:Tennessee has surprised me so far this year. They have been playing everyone pretty tough. They were very close to upsetting the Bengals last week. Arizona is still looking into having all their home games be in Mexico. Arizona is still a very dangerous team though with their weapons Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. In a “Boldin and Fitzgerald are the apple and strawberry, respectively” Pac Man and the
Titans 24 Cardinals 14
Bait: Tennessee will be without their #1 in Drew Bennett in a reciever corps that was already thin to begin with. They might get Kinney back, but I don't think it will be enough. The Titans play tough, but given the 30+ penalty yards given up by Pac-man each game, I don't think Chris Browns legs can overcome that, in a Normally I would go with the Titans special.

N.Y. Jets at Atlanta
9:00 p.m.
:gator: Gators:This game looked good early in the season, but with the injuries to the Jets, this game should be a laugher. They still have Vinny though. Vinny has made some big wins in the past. He is trying to prove that old people can still play football! Vick was back and he barely beat the Saints. Now he gets a full week of practice in and is going to be much crisper. In a “Vinny wishes he was back watching football on the couch”
Falcons 27 Jets 10
Bait: Vinny versus Vick......Do I get another choice? well you have been waiting for it, so wait no longer SHOCKER ALERT!!!! The Jets will hand it to the Falcons at home.....The Jets have been playing stellar defense and that will continue on the national stage monday night as the speed rushing ends force Vick to do something he is not comfortable with, Pass the ball.
