Hey guys, I'm a little late to the podium on this (my bad), but we will be moving the board to a new server in a few short minutes at 11 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

As you've all noticed, we've been experiencing problems with database errors lately, however, with our new host, this will hopefully no longer be a problem, thus giving you a more enjoyable forum experience.

Please be patient, as this may take up to two days for the domain name to switch over. However, I will be posting a temporary URL on the old host so that (hopefully) you can all rejoin us on the new setup as soon as it's active.

Thanks, and see you on the other, um, server :)

Hopefully less than two hours (not the domain name, just total move time).

We're also adding in some new features during the move, which may cause some delays while we're getting those setup.

Also, say adios to the old arcade. It's being replaced with a better one that will allow us to give you a better selection of games for premium and VIP members.

Bookmark the trivia's homepage. That's the best way to ensure that you are going to be able to play it.

btw, I changed the title for Dramatic effect. :cool:

Some of the avatars will need to be reuploaded, I'm sorry, that was a problem with the moving of the tables over to this site. For some reason, some of the avatars didn't come out right.

I had to switch mine back to the denver logo. I'll have to make a new one.

Ok, anyone sees anything else weird, first, hit Ctrl+F5, if it shows up again, it may very well be a bug. Just PM me or post in this thread the URL (address of the exact page) and what the problem is, I'll take a look at it.

If I knew the answer to that...I'd tell ya.

Believe me, it's on my list of things to fix right now...

Part of the problem is, with moving so much data (in the database alone, well over 150 megs, all by hand...took me five hours...yeah...fun times lemme tell ya :p), some errors are bound to occur. The templates that control the posts for example are stored in the database, which means there's a chance some weird characters got inserted, which is where the problems occur (I've already fixed several).

Weird. I can see everyones... no red x's at all. Most likely a caching issue and or DSN propogation (sometimes takes up to 48 hrs for DNS to fully propogate)..

If it's still doing it Monday, it may be a problem. Until then, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Like RZ said, it could just be caching issues or DNS propogation (the number one reason we're about half as busy as usual).

Alright guys, the staff knows there are a lot of problems, mainly because of the move, so lets just stop complaining to them and let them figure it out and fix it lol They dont deserve us all over them when they are hard at work trying to correct everything.

I just reloaded my avatar and it is working...I think in the move the server lost the location of some avatars...just have members reload them to the new server and it should work just fine...

I think they are fine as long as everyone just edit's their own back to what they had.

All joking aside, I fixed the bug that was causing the MVP's not to showup in the posts...and then fixed it again because the one I replaced it with somehow gave everybody 713 MVP's...at which point I figured out hey, that's my number of MVP's and realized I'd used the wrong variable, d'oh.
