PSH announcements A Special Birthday!

If you didn't know today is the official birthday of Pigskinheaven!

Still an infant, it's PSH's 3rd year of business and we look forward to having many more. Thanks to all the loyal members who have been with us.

To help celebrate our 3rd birthday and take us into year number 4, we would like all of you to contribute 1 or 2 memorable moments that sticks out in your mind. If you can find a thread great, if not it doesn't matter.

We will take a pool of them and vote on PSH's most memorable moment in the past 3 years.

Once again Happy Birthday to the Pigskinheaven name and thank you all for help making this site what it is today!

-PSH Admins(Datruth, GatorsRock, RaidenDAWG9, Crunked, l.a. no-teamers, Wolverine)

honestly, to me there are too many times to count.

I say this often, and I really think that a lot of you think I am kidding or at least half kidding (I totally get that I am hard to take seriously sometimes.)

My life has taken me around the country and the world. I have done a lot of things and have had a lot of experiences some good some bad. One of the cons is constantly working. Long hours, very little downtime etc etc. The last Job I had before moving to California was WITH the NFL. before that I worked with or around people where alot of my existence and job had to do with sports. It was my life, and growing where I was and with people that I was around Sports was IN FACT who I was.

Deciding to change the course of my life and taking a huge risk in California, again my lifestyle changed, This I was used to, but the people I was around were a LOT different. THAT was something I wasn't used to. Sports wasnt even the 5th or 7th thing on their list. It has always and always will be at least in my top 3. I never had done the message board thing too often, I was on Sportsline every once in a while but never thought I would be a mesaage board guy.

I have been a member of Pigskinheaven for over 2 years in one form or another, I am not an original, but In the 3 years it has existed, I have been here for the most of it. One of the things I love about PSH is the connection we all have. Not in the soel/Llamas type of way, but in that band of brothers way. We are like a family, and that term is over used in this society, but in this situation, it is true. We are a big at times dysfunctional family.

We come from different backgrounds, lifestyles, and origins, but we unite on the love of the sport, sports as a whole and the loyalty to our beloved teams. The one thing that has always amazed me about the crew at PSH is the way they take the sites needs over their own. They do what is best for our family instead of individuals. They dont get paid, they dont get love (I mean who is more desperate for love than Wolverine riht?) they do it for the site and the love that binds us to this website everyday.

I work alot, but no matter where I might be.... I check in and contribute, even if it is just a wise ass comment.....its my way of staying connected to all of you. I am a very loyal guy, as I suspect all of us are, and look at us....we care about each other, In the time I have been here I can remember some of us losing our jobs, changing their domestic relationships, losing a parent, having children, moving on to college from High school, and a lot more. we share in the growth of each other, share each others pain, and laugh at and with one another. we are a family.

When I was still new to my life in California, and being very far from my loved ones, I lost my Brother. Right near Christmastime. It was honestly a very hard time for me. The people here Such as DaTruth, Rudi, Chicky, YoHo, Soel, WOlv, Raiden, Wolfgang, Jwalk, P4L, Abellamy, JJ, etc...... were all there for me. When i was barely making it through work as my family mourned 3,000 miles away, when I didnt sleep for almost 3 weeks and i was up at 4am talking to a few of you. I really owe everyone here a great deal. these are also the ones who will smack me around and tell me to stop being a jerk, or that my team sucks.

and I love you all for it.

I have said it before, and I swear I will do it someday. when i get a mansion there is a PSH pool part and barbecue at my place. you are all invited, and I wanna pay for the plane tickets.....even if it is just to push squared sevens into the pool.

kidding.

Happy Birthday PSH.

I thank you all for the knowledge of the game that comes across on this board. One of my favorite forums are the nfl game of the week and the college gameday. I impress people in my daily life, as I am the one that spreads all the news first because I have read it on here. The worst was finding out about the VT shooting right here on the board...but it gave us all a chance to voice our feelings. For the most part, there's a ton of respect here; that sums up my favorite aspect. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND A BIG THANKS TO THE ADMINS WHO KEEP THIS ALIVE, WELL, AND GROWING. We all appreciate this forum more than words could ever do justice to.

I don't mind being pushed in the pool, I'm a swimmer.

I've been here since the beginning, minus a few months for suspensions . Honestly, this has been the best forum for me to join. Sure there's people that get on my nerves and stuff, but that happens everywhere. This is the best forum, hands down, I've been on on the internet. I've been on a lot of different football sites and various ones for video games, so I would know. . I'd like to throw some shout outs out to Pete M, Kyle S and Brett A for being such good friends. Thanks to all the admins for giving me a second chance too!

I'd like to thank you guys for your responses. Azazel, that was especially touching.

We're always trying to add features, always trying to organize little contests , always trying to add new looks etc... to improve this site. In the end though, what makes PSH such a great place is you people - the members. I think we are very fortunate that for whatever reason, a group of great people happen to find themselves together on this site.

Anyhow, the most memorable moment for me on this site was when we made the big decision to bring Raiden and his members into the mix. That was a risky move on our end, but one that I think has more than paid off in the long run.

Watching some of the guys here grow up has pretty special too, especially our boy Wolvie. I remember when we had to keep prodding him just to post an opinion, now he wont shut up, lol

Also, lets not forget about the contributions of LaxEagle, who was an original admin and a big part of what we started here. He still shows up here on occasion.

And of course, jagman, a great moderator and member, who we lost way too soon.

this place obviously turned out better than the beast ever was, which was a fun suprise

One of the first things I did, while still getting my feet wet, was get in long debate with EaglePhil, so I guess some things don't change.

Mostly this has become a great place to make friends. I've already met one member of PSH (Crunkie) and hope to meet many more. Well ............... technically I've met three members of PSH, I still apologize for dragging the ball and chain and smilie kid along.
