Bernard is an explosive back with the ability to hit the home run on any given play. He's explosive when he gets the ball in space, but an effective between the tackles runner with enough power to break a few tackles and enough acceleration to really do some damage if you don't wrap up. As a receiver out of the backfield, he can catch the ball and be a threat. Finally, he's an effective punt returner as well. On the downside, at 205 pounds, he isn't a pound the ball type of back you can run inside 20 times a game, but he could be a very effective back in a rotation. Bernard has dealt with knee injuries in the past, which might cost him a few slots in April.
