There were well-protected quarterbacks in America in 2012, but NC State's Mike Glennon was not among them. Despite dealing with a lot of pressure from defenses, he did a pretty good job with what he had. He's a 58% completion percentage on the stat sheet, but I saw a lot of drops on tape in just a few games, and I'm certain he'd have been above 60% if a chunk of those passes had been caught. Glennon does have a big arm with the ability to sling it down the field (accurately, might I add). His footwork on dropbacks from center is questionable at best, and he'll need work in that regard. I also think he tends to hold onto the ball a little longer than he should, which in itself creates some turnovers and bad situations. Overall, he's a good college quarterback with the tools to succeed at the NFL level if developed properly, and I think a strong offseason could move him up a round.

Most players who are listed at 6'6 shrink to around 6'4-6'5 at the combine. Glennon seems to have broken the mold and checks in at 6'7. Wow.
  2. Peter Smith -
Arkansas did this with Mallett. He went from 6'7" listing to people knocking his height to being 6'6" in their listing.

There's a stigma with QBs that tall, so I imagine that's why they are listed shorter. 6'6'' is about the apex of where people want their Qbs to be. Not saying that's a good reason, it's just one of those strange things about the league
