Kawann Short is a penetrating defensive tackle who spends a lot of time in the opposing backfield. He does a great job of using his hands and strength to shed blocks both in stopping the run and rushing the passer. With 18.5 career sacks from an interior line position, he's been very productive in getting to quarterbacks. He also has 48 career tackles for a loss. Overall, Short is one of a glut of defensive tackles expected to go in the first round this year and could slip a little bit, but would be a steal for a team looking to upgrade their interior defense.
