Great raw athlete with good size. Very fast, as displayed when he ran down Jake Locker from behind in the open field (see 35 sec mark of video). Good playmaker, who plays the ball. Not a great tackler, but very good at stripping the ball. Questionable awareness offsets great speed. Had a poor 2010, giving up quite a few TDs despite having a true freshman defending the opposite corner. Academically ineligible in 2009; injured for most of 2008 and granted a medical redshirt. Only one year of extended playing time over the past three years. Play dictates a low round pick, but raw talent pulls him up toward the mid-latter rounds. Has a decent chance of performing better in the NFL than in college, like some of his USC cornerback predecessors. (ie Terrell Thomas, Eric Wright)
