<img src ="http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/2488/article30dl.png"align="left"> It's quite obvious by now that the University of Southern California are National Champions for a reason. It's also apparent why Matt Leinart won the Heisman last year. The guts to stand up in the pocket on 4th down and throw an absolute dart to the bullseye(Dwayne Jarrett) to complete a 64 yard pass that set up the eventual game winning TD. Picture this scenerio for a second. It's 4th and 4, time is winding down and you need to win this game. You are on the road and the fans are pumped. They had their biggest ever pep rally the day before and they think their new head coach is going to destroy the nation's longest winning streak. You have the most powerful offense in possibly the history of College Football. But your Quarterback is... John David Booty? Now I know, that's probably not the situation if Leinart declares and becomes a 49er, but you have to think where USC would be in this. Would they be undefeated still? Would John David Booty, the guy who people said is actually better than Leinart be able to have the poise to lead his team to victory on the road against one of their biggest rivals, wearing their "Luck of the Irish" Green Jerseys?

I honestly don't think so, but it's something to ponder. I'll get back to the USC/ND game in a bit, but just before that happened everyone back at College Park died in a matter of 1 second. I laughed when Lloyd Carr argued about 2 seconds being taken off the clock when they where making their final drive. Michigan had called a time out and Carr insisted that it was called with 30 seconds left and not 28. Being the weirdo I'am who says Garrett Rivas is gonna make every single kick thats 40 yards or more and miss everything less than that, I think. Either Carr is really God or he's just trying to milk every second possible.<img src ="http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/8234/article49zq.png"align="right">

You made a believer out of me Carr, I am sorry I doubted your arguement for 2 more seconds, because it turns out the final play of the game happened with 1 second remaining. I am really sorry I picked against my Wolverines, they typically don't lose at the Big House, and this would have been the 3rd this season had Michael Robinson's final touchdown run was the last score of the game. Speaking of Robinson, it was all Robinson at the end. Those Fabulous Freshman that Joe Pa brought in this season, the same Freshman that rocked this Penn State team all season went POOF. One got burned by Manningham in the 4th quarter on an amazing bomb by Chad Henne that gave the Wolverines a 21-18 lead. The others really did not make a difference. Michael Robinson had several big first down runs, a toss down the middle of the field to his tight end and then capped it off with the QB Draw to give the Nittany Lions a 25-21 Leader. We all know what happened after that. Steve Breaston had a electric return, Chad Henne managed to not screw up when it counted and Mario Manningham is the next President of Michigan University.

Vince Young continued his campaign for the Texas Longhorns being the best team in the Nation. Some thought this was a trap game, but the Hook Em Horns didn't. Texas continues its roll by decimating the Buffalo and prepare for a showdown against the team that comes staright outta NCAA Video Games. Cody Hodges put out 5 Touchdowns and over 600 yards passing against the Kansas State Wildcats. Probably the biggest test for the new number one team in the nation.

Alabama showed they miss Tyrone Prothro. It would be awful to lose a SEC Game to one of the teams NOT named LSU, Florida, Georgia or Tennessee. Alabama managed to win the game on a Jamie Christensen field goal. 24-7 and the man I like to call Brian " Bombin' " Brohm is leading a Louisville team to a nice road win. Then some man named Steve Slaton comes alive and knocks Louisville in the mouth. Scoring 2 touchdowns in the final quarter and then scoring all three touchdowns for the Mountaineers in Overtime. I guess everyone, including myself over-rated the Cards and their high powered offense. Speaking of high powered offenses. I consider OSU's to be one. Ok maybe more like Fast Flying Offense. All that speed. Well they finally got a weak secondary to pick on. Santonio Holmes burned the Spartans secondary twice and Teddy Ginn finally made a big play. The MSU Coaching staff really sucked this game away though. Final seconds ticking down and Drew Stanton is ready to spike the ball so the Field Goal Unit can put them up 20-7 going into halftime. Oh no what's this? Here comes Holder Brandon Fields and the Field Goal Unit.. NO NO!! Get off the field!! Kick is off, and there goes Ashton Youbotty into the endzone, Hello Momentum Hello Buckeye Win.

<img src ="http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/8083/article51ia.png"align="left"> I guess we should get back to the important game of the century. You know that extra week to prepare for USC made this a close game. Charlie Weis's ability to pick out things as small as Brady Quinn running a QB Sneak on 3rd and 4 is amazing. Who would have ever thought causing a fumble near the goaline would be a bad thing? That fumble gave Leinart and crew time to run a play, had that ball stayed in Leinart's hands, I would be sitting here telling you how I picked Notre Dame to win this because Charlie Weis is the second coming of Jesus. I honestly thought ND could pull one out, and I was expecting nothing less than an entertaining game. I also thought Penn State was going to win. If I was a fan of either one I wouldn't be disappointed, because neither team was projected to be in this spot at pre-season. These two feel-good stories put on a show tonight with USC and Michigan, and now most people are saying "College Football is exciting.. Man College Football is Way better than the NFL". They may have lost their National Title hopes tonight, but they made some statements and they helped turn a lot of heads, and that is indeed nothing to be disappointed about.
