<img src ="http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/2686/bcspic23ar.png"align="right"> You can thank the Hurricanes for bailing out the controversy in the National Championship game. I mean now that LSU has knocked off the last undefeated team not named Texas or USC. There are a bunch of one loss teams, including Alabama. Struggling since the loss of their difference maker and number one receiver Tyrone Prothro. That leaves 3 SEC Teams with 1 loss, of course there will probably be one when it’s all said and done.
Let’s face it. Virginia Tech was the best scenario for us to have some mayhem by booting Texas from the two spot. They had a tough schedule, Credible wins over top 25 teams. Top 10 Teams. ACC Teams in the Top 25 and Top 10. What more could you want? Miami, FSU, Boston College, very good teams, very good wins. They could very well be the reason NC State has had such a season they have had. In tailspin since the first game until recently with a victory over FSU. Yeah that NC State team is good despite their record. V-Tech has beaten some good teams. Texas on the other hand. They beat a contending OSU team that someone like myself thought would have one loss after the Texas game. Now they have two. Don’t forget the human video game Cody Hodges and his Texas Tech Red Raiders. Um…. Barnett’s Buffalo Bunch?
Call me crazy but I thought Virginia Tech’s schedule would be more than enough to leap frog Texas into Pasadena by .0000009th of a point. This would be a win to the BCS haters for sure, right? The Bowl Championship Series survives for now, for this year. So we think? Something is bound to happen in this mess that is the BCS. It always screws up or someone always screws up for it. That’s how it goes. What if UCLA takes USC’s knees out in the season finale for the Pac 10. What about Colorado extracting revenge from the conference loss and taking one away in the Big Twelve Title game? Ok I know, bare with me here please.
.<img src ="http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/4783/bcspic33tq.png"align="left"> Many of good 1 loss teams of course. Miami, Virginia Tech just in the ACC. Penn State, Oregon, LSU, UCLA, Georgia, and of course Alabama. Don’t forget the other undefeated that would fall for this to happen. What if USC falls, Miami and LSU both win out? Miami’s loss to FSU is looking worse every week. Losing to NC State and Virginia. Oh the humanity. Miami will get their chance at revenge in the ACC championship game though. A statement win over Florida would give FSU some decency to their record and make Miami look better. Miami manhandled Tech though. Shut them out, Beamer balled them up the aheeeem. Shellacked them! Beat them IN Blacksburg. Won the ACC Championship game. What a nice little season. LSU beat a good Bama team and a bunch of good defenses in the SEC though, that conference is as deep as the ACC. They lost to Tennessee though. What a joke they have become. LSU was a half away from being undefeated, such a bad meltdown.
Do you get the picture yet? This is snowballing into something bigger. If an undefeated team falls, there could be chaos up at the top. The BCS haters are waiting for this moment, because it could be the biggest blow to the gut of this monster yet. Tons of 1 loss teams vying for one spot at the Rose Bowl. Mack Brown approach, campaigning for the spot, coaches are going nuts. This is beginning to get ridiculous. Some people love what the BCS does but think it needs adjustments(playoffs). Some hate the BCS to begin with, I mean after all it is a computer and the only thing computers do now a days is upset you with their lack of common sense.
<img src ="http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/1889/bcspic18wl.png"align="right"> That is what we base this off of right? RIGHT? I thought it was easy to see who should be playing for the National Championship, considering they get it wrong every year and every year we complain about it. No this team should be there not them, they messed this up. The reality is this. None of this get’s resolved until there is some sensible system in place that is fair to everyone. Then again it’s impossible to be fair to everyone so let’s just say fair to the majority.
Then I could be wasting my time writing this cause for all I am sure of is that USC and Texas will go undefeated and there will be no problems. Typical luck for me. Then again Michigan is still in the Big Ten Title hunt. Then again who says Penn State is gonna lose. Oh forget it.
