His face is all over T.V., he scores touchdowns, and football ‘experts’ talk about how explosive he is. So, how in the world could he cost Sean Payton his job?

Last year, as many of you will recall, I wrote an article for PSH mid-way through the season entitled ‘Parity is Dead’. The ‘Terrible Ten’ was introduced to the world. The prevailing thought in the NFL is that the ‘Home’ team has an inherent advantage over the visiting team on any given Sunday. While in general this theory is correct, the myth is that it pertains to each and every team. This could not be any further from the truth.

This is the first good news that Michael Vick has received in a LONG time. He is no longer the headline in the sports world. Vick has already added you to his Christmas card list, gentlemen. He sends his utmost gratitude. On Sunday, at Giants Stadium in New York, a Patriots video assistant, who was standing near the Jets bench, was approached by league security officials and had his camera and videotape confiscated in the middle of the first quarter. The league has also stated there were ‘irregularities’ with the Patriots radio signals during the game.

Among the various ‘Sports Curses’ listed on Wikipedia are the San Diego Sports Curse, the Cleveland Sports Curse, the Curse of Billy Penn, and, of course, the Curse of the Bambino. One ‘curse’ that has gained popularity in recent years is the ‘Super Bowl Curse’. It has not made it into Wikipedia yet but if the trend continues much longer, it will show up there also....
