1. Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia

Slaton took the reigns in the Heisman race last week with his second three plus touchdown game of the season in a win over previously unbeaten Maryland. For the season, Slaton currently has over 450 total yards and 9 touchdowns.

2. Colt Brennan, QB, Hawaii

For the season, Brennan's putting up more than respectable numbers. Completing over 77% of his passes, Brennan's put up 12 touchdowns versus a single pick while racking up over 1200 yards, and we're only three games in.

3. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida

Tebow quieted the critics who asked if he could throw the ball with a 2 TD passing and 2 TD running performance in a 39 point beat down of rival Tennnessee. He has over 1000 yards of total offense so far on the season. He also has 13 TD's which includes 8 passing TD's, 5 rushing TD's, while only having 1 forced turnover. He is currently the 2nd most efficient passer in the nation.

4. Ray Rice, RB, Rutgers

In a blowout win over Norfolk State, Rice only had 12 carries for 73 yards, but he scored on one quarter of those touches for his third consecutive 3 touchdown game. At this rate, he'll put up an astonishing 36 6 pointers this season...not likely, but it's nice to think about.

5. Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas

Darren McFadden single handedly kept the Razorbacks in the game last week against the Crimson Tide. Arkansas fell behind 31-10 late in the 3rd quarter, but behind McFadden's 195 yards of rushing, they actually took a 38-31 lead before Alabama came back and pulled out the W. In only 2 games he has accumulated 346 yards rushing, 46 yards receiving, and 42 yards passing with 4 TD's, showing he is a true triple threat.
