Last week, Brian Brohm ran away with our mock Heisman voting. Find out who will be the leader in the clubhouse this week as PSH's finest collegiate minds convene to figure out who's leading the voting for the most coveted award in college football.
(denotes first place votes) 1. Colt Brennan, QB, Hawaii (6)
After a six touchdown game, excuse me, six touchdown half against Northern Colorado, Brennan began his 2007 season threatening to assault the long standing most touchdown's in a season record, set by...him, last year...
2(t). Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville (1)
Brohm's 2007 debut did nothing to dispel the notion he's a top contender for the trophy this year. Brohm completed 76% of his passes for 375 yards and 4 scores this past weekend. The road ahead gets tougher, seeing as you can't play the Murray State's of the world for 12 games...this week...Middle Tennessee State...
2(t). Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas (1)
McFadden's '07 campaign got off to a solid start with 24 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown. This week will present the first true test of the year as Arkansas takes on Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide.
4. DeSean Jackson, WR, Cal
Other than an ESPN highlight film punt return, Jackson had a non-descript return to the gridiron with 4 catches for 45 yards. Up next is a Colorado State team that's coming off a season opening loss to Colorado.
5. Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia (1)
Slaton picked up where he left off in '06 running for 109 yards and 3 touchdowns in only 16 carries. Next week, Slaton and the Mountaineers take on in state rival Marshall, which gave up 341 yards of offense last week in a loss to Miami.
Others Receiving Votes Marlon Lucky, RB, Nebraska; Mike Hart, RB, Michigan; Pat White, QB, West Virginia; Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma; John David Booty, QB, USC; Tiquan Underwood, WR, Rutgers
